Commissioners Jim Carter, Sandy Jacobs, Bobbie J. Mitchell, and Cynthia White were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell s representative, Senior Administrator to Commissioners Court, Erin McCorkle. Court opened with an Invocation by Jim Heath followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Amy Phillips, Director of Human Resources. Mr. Heath: Bow Your head, please. Our Heavenly Father, thank You for this day. Thank You for this country. Be with us through our trying times as we go forward. Be with this County as they look over our business and may their decisions be Your decisions. And we particularly ask You to be with all of our servicemen throughout the world as they stand in harm's way. In thy name we pray. Amen. ITEM 2 CONSENT AGENDA AUDITOR 5. C) Approval of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Ambulance Services between Denton County, Texas and (1) the City of The Colony and (2) the City of Frisco, and any appropriate action. D) Approval of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Fire Protection Services between Denton County, Texas and (1) the City of The Colony and (2) the City of Frisco, and any appropriate action. E) Approval of the designation of Brody Shanklin, Civil Attorney II, in the office of the Criminal District Attorney, Civil Division, as Public Information Officer for Denton County, except as otherwise indicated by Denton County Elected Officials, and any appropriate action. Move to approve amended bill report by Comm. Jacobs, seconded by Comm. Carter. Court Order ITEM 7 BUDGET 7. C) Approval of Budget Amendment Request # to increase revenues and allocate expenditures for various line items and the creation of new line items for Grant purposes for FY for 2004 Urban Area Security Initiative II Grant in the amount of $74,186, and any appropriate action. Move to approve by Comm. Carter, seconded by Comm. Mitchell. Court Order ITEM 10 PUBLIC WORKS 10. A) Approval of the Road Closures and designation of detour routs for the following BRINSAP Bridge Replacement Projects: 1) Blair Road at Hog Branch; 2) Old Stoney Road at Denton Creek; and 3) Rector Road at Clear Creek, and any appropriate action. Engineering Move to approve by Comm. White, seconded by Comm. Carter. Court Order ITEM 13 OTHER DEPARTMENTS 13. A) Approval of Legislative Policy Statements, Resolutions, or other matters relative to the 79th Legislative Session, and any appropriate action. County Judge NO ACTION 13. F) Approval of the Contract Agreement between Denton County, Texas, and Calvert Paving Corporation for Bid # , in the amount of $229,581.00, for the Copper Canyon Road Construction Project, and any appropriate action. Move to approve by Comm. Carter, seconded by Comm. Mitchell. Court Order G) Approval of TxDOT Change Order #7, for the Hwy 377 Business Improvements at Pilot Point High School, and any appropriate action. Move to approve by Comm. White, seconded by Comm. Jacobs. Court Order H) Approval of the Standard Form of Agreement for Services between Denton County, Texas and Harrison Quality Construction for the Denton County Government Center renovation, and any appropriate action. Move to approve pending receipt of the signed contract from Harrison Quality Construction by Judge Horn, seconded by Comm. Carter. Court Order I) Approval of the Group Contract between Denton County, Texas, as a participant with the Public Employee Benefits Cooperative of North Texas (PEBC) and Prudential Financial for Long Term Care, and any appropriate action. Move to approve by Judge Horn, seconded by Comm. White. Court Order J) Approval of Amendment 1 to the Professional Services Agreement for Engineering Surveying Services and Right-of-Way Engineering Services between Denton County, Texas, and Teague, Nall and Perkins Inc., and any appropriate action. E) Approval of Budget Amendment Request # to increase $6,886, transfer funds from Non-Departmental Unappropriated Contingency-Vehicle Repair $14,307 and allocate expenditures for Cars/Small Trucks for Constable, Precinct #2 at a total amount of $21,193.
