1 MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF MIDLAND COUNTY, TEXAS Be it remembered that on Monday the 14 th day of May, 2018 at 9:00a.m a meeting of the Commissioners Court was called to order in the Auxiliary Courtroom, located at the Midland County Courthouse, 500 North Loraine Street, Midland, Texas. The following members were present: Michael R. Bradford, County Judge; Scott Ramsey, County Commissioner Precinct No. 1; Robin Donnelly, County Commissioner Precinct No. 2; Luis D. Pledges of Allegiances. 3. Discuss and take action on court minutes from April 23 & 25, Motion to approve (court minutes from April 23 rd and 25 th, 2018). Motion to extend the burn ban for 60 days (to end on July 15, 2018). Tim Flathers will be in an overflow hotel in Austin. Presented by Laura Nodolf, District Attorney. They had a 2008 Crown Victoria that needs to be replaced. We want to go to a Tahoe truck. Motion to purchase this vehicle for $34, out of contingency (for the D.A. s office). This will need to come out of salary contingency. 9 35. Discuss and take action on IBM Statement of Work for ServiceElite. Presented by Mike Atkins, IT Director Motion to approve this (IBM statement of work for ServiceElite). Dwayne Frantz, Risk Management stated they received a check for $147, from the insurance company. We have a proposal for $185, option #1. Asking for a maximum of $200, for the project. Asking for $64, from the Court to cover the cost minus the amount received from insurance. Presented by Dwayne Frantz, Risk Management On 5/9/18 DA unit #25643 backed into a vehicle while another vehicle was backing up, both parties involved will fix their own vehicle. On 4/30/18 Patrol unit #15510 hood flew open while driving. This was a prior fix by Loop 250 Collision will file a claim and pay for the damage. On 4/30/18 Patrol unit #15477 doing some training in parking lot, hit by a drunk driver. They will go after restitution. Motion to acknowledge (fleet accident report). Presented by Veronica Morales, Auditor Judge Bradford had an additional line item transfer for $ contract service to equipment and furnishings for the County Court. The County had to use tax payer money due to a law suit brought by Empower Texas upon District Attorney, Laura Nodolf. The amount of the bill was from McGinnis Lochridge for $26, An additional bill for Howard Hill Grimes for $47, for a right of way purchase. Motion to approve all bills.
