2 Gary Borgmann, CPD President, C.I. Chapter of ASPE Summer has flown by and the season is changing to fall. It may be temporary, but it s cooled off significantly and the leaves are starting to fall in my yard. I hope everyone enjoyed their summer! I sure had a fun filled summer with some traveling, an outdoor music festival, and a little camping too! All too soon we ll be holding up inside to keep warm! But before that ever happens, we still have time to enjoy the mild weather of September and October. I would like to thank everyone for coming out to play in our annual ASPE Golf Outing. It turned out to be a nice day! A little hot, but nice and dry. A big thank you to all of the sponsors this year! We couldn t do it without you all. We have a list of sponsors in this issue. Be sure to thank them the next time you see them. Speaking of October, the ASPE Convention and Exposition is quickly approaching. If you re thinking of going you should be making plans for this right away. Maybe you remember that we held a drawing to give away three free Expo registrations!?! Our lucky ASPE member recipients were Dru Suiter with Ferguson, Jim Rodgers with Ross & Baruzzini, and Larry Fox with the newly renamed, Sims-Durkin Assoc. Engineering Company. Congratulations boys! I ll be seeing you in Phoenix! This is also the time of year that we pick up where we left off with our monthly meetings and technical seminars. For our September 15 th Indy ASPE meeting, we have a change in topics from what was published in the August Newsletter. The topic will be Pressure Regulating Valves. More information on the program and speaker are listed elsewhere in this issue. Coincidentally, I have recently run into a situation where an existing PRV was used in an incorrect application which caused severe problems downstream, so this seminar is very timely for me. It can be very helpful to have the manufacturer, or rep help you in your selections. We also have a meeting scheduled in Fort Wayne for September 8 th. Jeff Gallagher with Viega will be presenting on Pathogen Control by Design. More details are also listed elsewhere in this issue. Page 2
3 Tech News Now: Greetings, Your Central Indiana ASPE lunch & Learns are about to begin. September 15 th 2016 will be our first meeting. Please plan to attend as many meetings as possible. We can t do these without or Sponsors/ Vendors/ Rep s. Please see the news letter for a complete list of presenters and sponsors for the season. Thank You for your support. Dan Cummins VP Technical, C.I. Chapter of ASPE Page 3
