All in favor- approved. NEW BUSINESS 1. Networking Events Johnnie & Shannon will be working on the networking events for 2017 Lisa Saunders will be the member liaison. 2. Some discussion about co-hosting a social event w/ the Peninsula chapter and/or PLMC 3. Lisa asked if the meeting minutes could be distributed each month shortly after the BOD meeting with a Call to Action Items section. If board member volunteers to follow or head up something this would be a reminder to them. 4. Discussion on opening up to more affiliates in each trade from 3 to maybe 5. An affiliate membership drive w/ member recommendations could bring in new affiliates. 5. Also discussion of raising the membership fee for affiliates. Johnnie feels that the affiliates committee should have a meeting to discuss. 6. Discussion of a yearbook w/ affiliate information that would be given to members. Johnnie & Shannon will work on that. 7. Johnnie is writing an operating procedure for affiliates new & current. Varying opinions as to checking insurance at each renewal. Leave it up to professional member to be sure that the vendor has the proper insurance to satisfy their companies requirements. 8. Discussion of moving the monthly meeting to HRRA. Perhaps charging members for the breakfast which could be as easy as bagel & coffee rather than relying on an affiliate to pick up and set up breakfast. 9. The agenda is locked in mostly for the year. Johnnie suggested having the October meeting at a fire station most likely Hanbury Road. It will be fire safety month and the fire fighters can dispense safety tips etc. and they cook up a good breakfast. 10. March meeting will be Duke w/ the 2 nd part of his networking & growing your business lecture. 11. April Section 8. Jackie has contacted Suffolk, Chesapeake, VAB & Norfolk. 12.
