1 MINUTES OF CANORA TOWN COUNCIL MEETING September 17, 2013 A regular meeting of Canora Town Council was held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Canora Town Council Chambers. In attendance were Mayor Terry Dennis, Councillors Matt Nehaj, Cory O Dell, Randy Sigurdson, James and Syl Hrynkiw. Also in attendance was Chief Administrative Officer Michael Mykytyshyn. Councillor Gina Rakochy was absent. Councillor Gina Rakochy joined the meeting at 7:05 p.m. DELEGATION Derek Keller, Brenda Walsh, Sandra Tokaruk, Roberta Wiwcharuk, Sharon Tropin, Joanne Bodnar and Jennifer Martin, all of Sunrise Health Region, met with council to present information on a Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) pilot project for Canora. # TOURISM COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS That council appoint Sandi Deacon-Rogers and Ken Wasyliw to the Rakochy Canora Tourism Committee. # OFFER TO PURCHASE Hrynkiw That council accept the offer of Bill Foreman to purchase 90 surplus Sigurdson paving stones for $ # PROPOSED SUBDIVISION Hrynkiw That council approve the subdivision of Parcel A, Plan as Nehaj proposed by New Era Developments September 6, 2013 application. # SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL O Dell That council appoint councillors Gina Rakochy and Randy Sigurdson Hrynkiw (alternate) to the Canora Composite School Community Council. # OFFER TO PURCHASE Sigurdson That council authorize the sale of Lot 43, Block 73, Plan 76Y to Chad and Amy Nordin for the purpose of constructing a house thereon; and further, that title be transferred upon completion of construction or authorization of a $10,000 performance bond in favour of the Town. # SEASONAL LABOURER Hrynkiw That council hire Kevin Malanchuk as seasonal Labourer I, effective Rakochy September 30, 2013.
