Presdent's Report Presdent Mackey reported brefly on the current Ttle X Audt of the Unversty's academc programs. The audt team wll arrve from Chcago on Monday. Hopefully, they wll have studed the truckload of nformaton submtted n response to the ntal federal request. The audt s not to nvestgate a specfc complant or to seek complants although members of the audt team wll be avalable to receve comments from nterested ndvduals durng ther stay here. Presdent Mackey also reported that the state budget pcture now looks very gloomy. The Governor s scheduled to submt revsed budget recommendatons to the legslature n the near future. All ndcatons are that the revsed recommendatons wll reflect budget ncreases of less than half of the ncreases orgnally recommended. Presdent Mackey, n response to a request from Trustee Martn, clarfed the msnterpretaton of hs poston n response to contacts between Unversty personnel and outsde agences. The request that such contacts be coordnated wth approprate Unversty authortes n cases n whch the ndvdual s representng the Unversty was merely restatement of a prncple of longstandng. There nether has been, nor wll be, any attempt to mpnge upon any ndvdual's rghts to such contacts as ndvduals rather than Unversty representatves.
