DEPUTATIONS THAT with respect to the February 9, 2015, Council Agenda, we recommend that the agenda as printed including any additional information and new business be confirmed. 5. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS CARRIED Council Meeting Minutes of the Council Meeting held on January 26, 2015, for approval. Discussion on the above noted minutes. 3 (b) January 12, 2015 Council Meeting and Closed Session Minutes At the January 26, 2015, meeting of Council it was noted that the above noted minutes inadvertently did not include an item pertaining to identifiable individuals. A copy of the revised minutes are included in the agenda. Resolution Nos and need to be rescinded and a further resolution presented for approval of the amended minutes. Resolution No MOVED BY SECONDED BY Councillor A. Vis WHEREAS the Minutes from the Council and Closed Session meetings held on January 12, 2015, were presented at the January 26, 2015, meeting and did not include the item pertaining to identifiable individuals; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Resolution Nos and are hereby rescinded; AND THAT the Minutes of the Council and Closed Session meeting minutes held on January 12, 2015, BE APPROVED, as amended. 6. REPORTS OF MUNICIPAL OFFICERS CARRIED Planning Monthly Report Monthly report from the Manager of Planning, for Letters dated January 29, 2015, from Leif Nelson, M.Sc., P.Geo, Senior Hydrogeologist and Adam Rose, P.Eng., Manager, Engineering Services, True Grit Consulting with respect to the Zoning By-law Amendment for Peter Haniak were distributed separately with the agenda package. Home Industry - Following a discussion, it was the consensus of Council that home industry be limited to 5 hectare lots with 30 metre side yards. It was noted that this matter would be brought back to Council at a later date. Zoning Amendment - Haniak - A copy of a revised draft by-law was distributed to Council at the meeting for perusal. It was noted that any significant changes to the original draft by-law would require another Public Meeting. A further Public Meeting on this zoning application is scheduled for February 23, Page 3 of 10

Council directed the By-law Enforcement Officer to forward a letter to a land owner on Poleline Road to remove the burn piles on the property. (h) Fire and Emergency Services Activity Log from the Fire and Emergency Services for the month of January 2015, for Page 4 of 10

5 (i) Fire and Emergency Services Minutes of the Fire and Emergency Services meeting held on January 20, 2015, for (j) Building Report Building Report for January 2015, for The CAO/Clerk advised Council the Chief Building Officer would be attending Council meetings quarterly commencing in April. (k) Rosslyn Village Water Supply Memorandum relative to the Rosslyn Village Water summary reports from ALS Canada Ltd. advising they do not show any adverse reports for the above noted. (l) Thunder Bay Police Services Oliver Paipoonge Detachment The Thunder Bay Police Services Oliver Paipoonge Detachment October - December 2014 Statistics as well as the Annual Statistics Report for 2014, for (m) 2014 Annual Report King George's Park Wastewater Treatment Plant 2014 Annual Report for the King George's Park Wastewater Treatment Plant prepared by Roger Galbraith, Env. Eng. Tech, Liquid Operations advising of the above noted, for A complete copy of the report will be distributed in the yellow folder at the meeting. 7. Kloosterhuis distributed a memorandum from Ken Ranta, Director, Housing Operations, TBDSSAB dated November 25, 2014, relative to Investment in Affordable Housing - Ontario Renovates - Update on Allocations. (c) Rural Cupboard Food Bank Minutes of the Rural Cupboard Food Bank meeting held on January 14, 2015, for (d) Thunder Bay District Municipal League from Beth Stewart, Secretary-Treasurer, Thunder Bay District Municipal League dated January 28, 2015, advising of the meeting schedule for 2015, for Minutes of the Thunder Bay District Municipal League board meeting held on January 10, 2015, for (e) Lakehead Region Conservation Authority Minutes of the Tenth Regular Meeting of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority held on November 26, 2014, for (f) Thunder Bay District Health Unit Minutes from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, Board of Heath, held on November 19, 2014, for 8. 7 Following a discussion, it was the consensus of Council that the List of Accounts would no longer be contained in the agenda but distributed to Members of Council with the agenda package for 9. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS 10.1 ACTION ITEMS Annual General Meeting Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA) Registration Form for the NOMA Annual General Meeting to be held at the Victoria Inn on April 22, 23 and 24, The CAO/Clerk was directed to register Mayor L. Kloosterhuis, Councillors A. Bishop, J. Byers, B. Kamphof and A. Vis and Margaret (Peggy) Dupuis, CAO/Clerk for the NOMA AGM. (b) Autism Ontario's "Raise the Flag" Campaign Letter from the Autism Ontario's Raise the Flag Committee dated January 21, 2015, inviting Council to participate in the above noted on April 2, 2015 to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day. Following a discussion, Council directed Administration to present the proclamation resolution for World Autism Awareness Day to the next Council meeting FOR INFORMATION ONLY Steadman v. PENDING ITEMS Letter from Roger De Gannes, Head, Traffic Operations, Ministry of Transportation dated January 29, 2015, inviting comments and/or completing a questionnaire available on-line on the above noted. Following a discussion, it was the consensus of Council that Administration respond to the letter advising that Council's preference was item number 4 as contained in the letter. List of Pending Items 12. NEW BUSINESS Council reviewed the List of Pending Items. Premier's Award for Agric-Food Innovation Excellence Councillor B. Kamphof provided a verbal report on his attendance at the above noted presentations held on January 27, Following a discussion, Council directed Administration to forward a letter to Dave Challen and Beth Kuiper, Boreal Birch Syrup for receiving their second Premier's Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence and submit an announcement to be included the March Oliver Paipoonge Newsletter.
