The event was held on 9 August at the Architectural Center Club Inc. (ACCI) on Palma Street, The night was fun-filled with food, drinks, raffles and entertainment numbers. Ms. Jojie Quintos, Davies Paints VP for Marketing, together with Sean Jermaine Chu, Business Development Officer assigned to District B-2, made sure that the architects were well entertained. 3 ACTIVITY NO.2 Title of Activity UAP MCC SPORTS FEST TUNE-UP GAME Date 10 AUGUST 2017 Total Attendees Venue Basketball Court, Koten Enterprises, Inc., Pasay Objective of the Activity (1) TO BUILD CAMARADERIE AND SPORTSMANSHIP AMONG THE CHAPTER S MEMBERS Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic X Others SPORTS Activity in line with 4Ps Profession Professional X Professional Organization Professional Product Activity in support of the UAP corporate thrust X Unity Accountability Professional Excellence One of UAP Manila Corinthian s proposed activity for this fiscal year is a Sports Fest which will start with a basketball tournament and hope to include bowling and badminton in the future. This sports fest, chaired by Ar. Reymark Gardiola, is envisioned to build camaraderie and sportsmanship among the chapter s members and eventually develop into an Inter-Chapter Sports Fest within UAP District B-2. A tune-up game was held last 10 August 2017 at the basketball court of Koten Enterprises, Inc. between UAP MCC members and other players from within UAP District B-2. This was made possible by the generosity of Ms. Malou Doles, Marketing Manager of Koten Enterprises who allowed the use of their facility for this activity. 6 Title of Activity ACTIVITY NO.3 2 ND GMM - CORINTHIAN KKK : Building Tech 101 and Induction of New Chapter Members Total Attendees 74 Venue Objective of the Activity Date 24 AUGUST 2017 Koten Enterprises, Inc. Showroom, Pasay City (1) TO UPDATE THE CHAPTER MEMBERS ON NEW TECHNOLOGIES OF DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION. (2) TO INTRODUCE AND INDUCT NEW CHAPTER MEMBERS Type of Activity X GMM X Seminar Socio-Civic Others Activity in line with 4Ps X Profession Professional X Professional Organization Professional Product Activity in support of the UAP corporate thrust X Unity X Accountability X Professional Excellence As professionals in the field of construction and design, we need to be constantly updated on new technologies available in the market. With this in mind, the UAP Manila Corinthian Chapter organized its 1 st Building Tech event for the 2 nd General Membership Meeting (GMM). This event was held at the Koten Showroom, along F. B. Harrison St., Pasay City. UAP-MCC organized Building Tech 101 where Ar. Charles Ramos, Senior Technical Consultant of Gyproc- Saint Gobain discussed light weight partitioning system and Ms. Malou Doles, Sales and Marketing Manager of Koten Enterprises Company Inc. introduced new electrical devices in the industry. Ar. Charles Ramos started with a brief history of their company and their products in the market. After this, he discussed and demonstrated the proper methodology of installation. Ms. Malou Doles made a brief introduction of their company and proceeded with a presentation of their products. She also discussed what makes their products sustainable and what makes them standout among items currently available in the market. After the informative discussion about building technologies, the UAP MCC held the induction of new chapter members. Ar. Gabbie Cascante led the charging of new members while UAP District Director for B2, Ar. Tessa Espinas-Salinas inducted the 35 new members to the chapter. This was another Amazing day for the UAP-MCC. With our growing family, the Board of Directors will continue to serve and organize activities for the camaraderie & professional development of its members. UAP MCC will celebrate its 28 th Anniversary on the 29 th of September. In preparation for this event, the BOD gathered on September 01, 2017 at Contis Bakery and Restaurant in Greenbelt 2, Makati, to plan out the preparations for the anniversary. Ar. Erwin Canonizado, Chapter Auditor, was chosen to spearhead the preparation of this important event. Venue was decided by the BOD to be at the Manila Pavilion Hotel along United MAtions Avenue, Ermita Manila and assigned Ar. Gabbie Cascante to send requests for sponsorships not only for this event but also for the upcoming activities of the chapter. Aside from anniversary preparations, the BOD discussed the line-up of activities for the Month of October. This include the World Architecture Day, CPD Seminar of the Committee on Young Architects, Tie-up/ Twinning activity with UAP Legaspi Chapter, and the Joint Area Assembly in Ilocos Norte. The BOD also discussed the management of the chapter s the social media account and decided to purge nonmembers from the list since this is a closed group and shall be exclusively for the chapter members.
