1 Dear Friends: It gives us great pleasure to invite you to our annual Virginia Senate Republican Caucus Retreat. We are very excited to again host this year s gathering at the Boar s Head Inn in Charlottesville on Sunday, September 16 and Monday, September 17. We look forward to a multitude of new activities for our attendees to interact with our senators. With its rich history and lush landscape, Charlottesville offers a relaxingly beautiful setting for the Retreat. The Boar s Head Inn features a generous helping of southern hospitality, impeccable service, and choice of recently renovated accommodations. As in years past, we continue to integrate your input from prior retreats, striving to exceed your expectations and make each Retreat better than the one before. Kicking off the Retreat weekend this year will be a bonus tailgate luncheon and UVA football game with members of leadership on Saturday, September 15. Regardless of your fan affiliations, this is a great opportunity to spend a beautiful afternoon in Charlottesville enjoying a college football game with our leadership team. Keeping with tradition, Sunday afternoon will consist of special opportunities for our Team 21 members, Leadership Sponsors, and Benefactors. New this year, we will be hosting a Sunday Tailgate Reception with big screen TVs and lounge viewing areas for relaxing and enjoying all Sunday NFL football action. After an afternoon of games and gathering the highlight of the evening will be our dinner featuring all twenty-one of our senators. To cap off an enjoyable evening, join us for a relaxing social on the putting greens of Birdwood Golf Course. On Monday, we will host our annual golf tournament at one of the region s finest golf courses, Birdwood, adjacent to The Boar s Head Inn. Golfers will gather after the tournament for our annual cookout luncheon and awards presentation. For those not participating in golf, we will have a trip to The Escape Room Charlottesville, followed by a luncheon on The Downtown Mall. Can you and your team escape from one of the four great adventures? Each group will be required to work together to solve puzzles and brainteasers, using strategy, creativity and logic. Included with this invitation package is a complete schedule of events, list of sponsorship packages, overnight lodging information, and a registration form. 5 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 Noon 6:30 PM **BONUS** UVA Football Tailgate and Game with Leadership Enjoy a UVA football tailgate catered by Charlottesville s famous restaurant The BBQ Exchange with members of leadership. Then head inside Scott Stadium to watch the Virginia Cavaliers take on the Ohio Bobcats at 3 PM. Transportation will be provided from the Boar s Head Inn and back, departing at noon. Please note that there is an additional cost of $1,000 per person to participate in this bonus event. Attire is business casual. 8:30 PM After- Social Birdwood Golf Course After dinner, sit back and relax with members of the Caucus on the putting greens. Participants can play yard games, listen to live music, and enjoy a drink and cigar. Monday, Sept. 17, :00 AM 9:00 AM Breakfast Ballroom 7:30 AM 8:30 AM Golf Registration and Warm up Birdwood Golf Course Registration for the golf tournament will open at 7:30 AM. Walk over after breakfast to register and warm up. 8:30 AM Golf Tournament Shotgun Start Birdwood Golf Course Birdwood Golf Course is the home of the University of Virginia s men s and women s golf teams. Prizes will be awarded to participants following their round at the cookout. 10:00 AM Alternative Activity: Depart for Escape Room Charlottesville and Participants will have ninety minutes to solve the mystery and successfully escape one of four themed Escape Rooms. Luncheon will follow on Charlottesville s historic Downtown Mall. A charter bus will take guests to and from the venue.

6 LODGING INFORMATION For your convenience, a block of deluxe guestrooms has been reserved at The Boar s Head Inn for the night of Sunday, September 16, The following discounted rate has been negotiated for those attending the Retreat: 200 Ednam Drive Charlottesville, VA Standard Guestroom: $205/night While the room block is only being held for the night of Sunday, September 16, the special rates are good for the nights of Monday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 18 as well. **Please Note: The rooms in this block will be held until Friday, August 17, 2018, after which they will be released to the public for general sale. Room reservations must be made directly through The Boar s Head Inn by calling When making reservations, you MUST identify your affiliation with the Virginia Senate Republican Caucus (VSRC) in order to receive the conference rate listed above. The Boar s Head Inn cannot change rates at check-in or check-out for those guests who fail to identify their affiliation at the time of their reservation. **Please note that Caucus guests are responsible for room charges including all taxes, gratuities, and service charges.
