Participants in full circle while "magkaakbay" as a sign of unity to work hand-in-hand. c.) District D1 kick-started the Fiscal Year with Team Bldg. & Officers Training Activities. d.) Participants focusing on the challenge of the outdoor relay game. e.) Participants pouring-out their creativity, patience, team work and speed in completing the indoor challenge. 2 The Team Building & Officers' Training of District D1 was a 2-day event attended by the new set of officers for FY of the 10 chapter members namely: UAP Davao, UAP Mt. Apo, UAP Cotabato, UAP SOCSKSARGEN, UAP Datu-Bago-Dabaw, UAP Kadayawan-Dabaw, UAP North-Davao, UAP Davao Alpha, UAP Balladaw-Dabaw and UAP Sinlayan-Dabaw. This was held at Eden Nature Park, Davao City last June 16-17, The event was spearheaded by the Outgoing District Director Ar. Connie Dy as a preparation for the next batch serving the chapters of District D1. It was also a high time passing the baton through series of orientations to the newly inducted Ar. Elwyn Banares and the same time to meet all the new set of officers whom he will be working with. The event was also attended by Ar. Michael T. Ang, Ar. Gemma Semana (Past Area D Vice President), Ar. Trinidad, Saligumba (Incoming Area D Vice President) and some past chapter presidents from Davao as speakers. The Team Building activity was facilitated by Outland Adventure Davao. Indoor and outdoor games were prepared by the facilitators that aims to harness the creativity, initiative, camaraderie, alertness, promptness, effectiveness and efficiency of the participants as an individual and as a team. It was as well an avenue to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of each and every officer to be able to work as a greater force for their each and every chapter they are going to serve. The Officers' Training gave another form of empowerment to the upcoming officers. The core which is the technicalities of the positions were discussed. The speakers talked about each position with regards to the description and its roles/functions as well as forum concerning the by-laws. As the activity concluded, participants were all equipped, geared-up and eager to serve their each respective chapters. Ar. Elwyn Banares. The 1st District D1 Council Meeting was held at Seda Hotel, Davao City last July 06, 2017 headed by District Director Ar. Elwyn Banares and attended by the 9 chapter presidents: Ar. Imelda S. Canuday for UAP Davao, Ar. Richard N. Reginio for UAP Mt. Apo, Ar. Freddie Reye Doctor for UAP SOCSKSARGEN, Ar. Romy Pancracius H. Cabahug for UAP Datu Bago-Dabaw Chapter, Ar. Ma. Charmaine May G. Ibarra for UAP Kadayawan-Dabaw, Ar. Artemio Ian A. Collo for UAP North Davao, Ar. Iluminado D. Quinto Jr. for UAP Davao Alpha, Ar. Val Lois Gosimvino L. Israel represented by Ar. John Setarios for UAP Balladaw-Dabaw, and Ar. Isidoro R. Malaque III for UAP Sinlayan-Dabaw. The appointment of council officers was conducted with the following line-up: Deputy Director Ar. Iluminado D. Quinto Jr., Secretary: Ar. Ma. Charmaine May G. Ibarra assisted by Ar. Imelda S. Canuday, Treasurer: Ar. Isidoro R. Malaque III and Auditor: Ar. Artemio Ian A. Collo. Moreover, the discussions of the meeting covered the initial annual plans for the district covering the schedule of meetings and activities as well as tackling concerns and queries from each and every chapter president. The UAP Davao- Alpha Chapter held its 10th Induction and Turn-Over Ceremony last July 10, 2017 at Seda Hotel. The event was attended by Ar. Benjamin Panganiban (National Executive Vice President), Ar. Trinidad Saligumba (Area D Vice President), Ar. Elwyn Banares (District Director) Ar. Iluminado D. Quinto Jr. (Deputy Director) and the chapter presidents of the district. For this year's induction of new members, the chapter has a total of 24 inductees. Trinidad Saligumba (Area D Vice President) and Ar. Elwyn Banares (District Director for D1). For this year's induction of new members, the chapter has a total of 15 inductees. 6 The UAP Balladaw- Dabaw Chapter on its 2nd Induction & Turn -Over Ceremony. The UAP Balladaw-Dabaw Chapter held its 15th Induction of Officers & New Members Ceremony last July 15, 2017 at the Waterfront Insular Hotel, Davao City. The event was attended by Ar. Trinidad Saligumba (Area D Vice President) and Ar. Elwyn Banares (District Director for D1). For this year's induction of new members, the chapter has a total of 8 inductees.
