PREPARATION FOR CHAPTER S ACTIVITIES Objective of the Activity Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others MEETING Activity in line with 4Ps Profession Professional Professional Organization Professional Product Activity in support of the UAP corporate thrust X Unity Accountability Professional Excellence X X The new Board of Directors for fiscal year gathered last June 24, 2017 at Mann Hann, Robinsons Magnolia, Quezon City for its first official BOD Meeting. They discussed the initial line up of junior officers and committee heads who will be spearheading and organizing the various events of the Chapter to be lined up for this fiscal year. UAP-MCC President, Ar. Joy C. Villar, instructed the BOD to finish all necessary reports for the past fiscal year, especially the financial statements. This is to properly turnover all these documents to the new Board of Directors. The BOD also discussed how they can improve the programs and service for the chapter. 2 Title of Activity ACTIVITY NO.2 BOARD OF DIRECTORS PLANNING SESSION FOR FISCAL YEAR Total Attendees 15 Venue Objective of the Activity (1) TO ORGANIZE ALL THE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FISCAL YEAR. (2) TEAM BUILDING OF UAP MCC BOD Date JULY 2017 LA FLORENTINA RESORT, BUSTOS, BULACAN Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic X Others PLANNING SESSION Activity in line with 4Ps Profession Professional X Professional Organization Professional Product Activity in support of the UAP corporate thrust X Unity X Accountability X Professional Excellence As preparation for the fiscal year , the Board of Directors, Committee Heads, and Junior officers of the UAP Manila Corinthian Chapter held its Chapter Planning Session to map out activities for the Chapter. This year, the group held its planning session at La Florentina Resort, Bustos, Bulacan. To officially start this activity, Ar. Vince Santos led the invocation. This was followed by Ar. Patrick Rodriguez s discussion of how the organization works and the duties & responsibilities of each board member and how to be an effective leader. This was followed by Ar. Gabbie Cascante giving a brief history of how the chapter started and how the chapter survived through the challenges it faced in its early years. The BOD first discussed and agreed on this Fiscal Year theme entitled Continuing Leadership into Greater Heights, Padayon Corinthian! with reference to the UAP National Theme - Unity, Accountability, & Professional Excellence. The Chapter intends to expand building leaders by encouraging them to be part of the various activities that will bind all members as a one and united chapter. In the afternoon, Chapter President, Ar. Joy C. Villar, and VP Planning, Ar. Reymark Gardiola, presented the initial list of proposed activities for discussion and approval of the body. The Committee heads and junior officers actively participated and gave suggestions to finalize the plans for the year. After a whole day of hard work and fruitful discussions, the group enjoyed the amenities of the resort and held team building activities in the swimming pool. 4 Title of Activity ACTIVITY NO.3 1 st GMM: INDUCTION OF OFFICERS AND NEW CHAPTER MEMBERS Date 20 JULY 2017 Total Attendees 59 Venue LUNETA HOTEL, MANILA Objective of the Activity TO INTRODUCE AND INDUCT THE NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND NEW CHAPTER MEMBERS Type of Activity X GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Others Activity in line with 4Ps X Profession Professional X Professional Organization Professional Product Activity in support of the UAP corporate thrust X Unity Accountability Professional Excellence UAP Manila Corinthian Chapter s has truly been an AMAZING fiscal year but it does not mean that it all ends there. Rather, it s just the beginning of another AMAZING year for the chapter! This year, as in the previous fiscal year, we started our term of office with a Holy Mass to ask the Greatest Architect in heaven to bless our chapter s new set officers with more Knowledge and Energy to lead the Chapter and surpass what was has been achieved in the previous fiscal year. Our Amazing Sunshine and Chapter President Ar. Joy C. Villar was re-elected to a 2 nd term. Together with her new set of officers, they were inducted and pledged to continue the chapter s goals to reach greater heights in professional leadership and excellence. This event was graced by UAP National Executive Vice President Ar. Benjie Panganiban, who delivered the message of UAP NP Guimo Hisancha in his behalf and inducted the incoming Board of Directors, Vice President for Area B Ar. Rey Acostaleading the Charging of Officers and Incoming District Director for UAP District B-2 Ar. Tessa Espinas-Salinas as witness. Ar. Arr-Jay Joquico, Chapter President of UAP Legazpi Chapter, was also present in this event. A tie-up project, through the initiative of BOD Fy Manila Corinthian Chapter, was agreed between UAP MCC and UAP Legazpi Chapter and initially scheduled on Oct 28-29, 2017 in Legazpi. The Corinthian family has grown again in numbers with the official induction of six new members to the chapter. We are truly honored that they chose to be part of our family. The chapter s planned activities & event won t be successful without the help of our generous sponsors for the event: Devex and Crown Pipes. Also, with the support and contribution of our members, the goal of achieving greater heights in Professional excellence is possible. PADAYON, Corinthians! 6 Title of Activity ACTIVITY NO.4 UAP District B-2 Joint Chapter Induction and District Turnover Ceremonies Total Attendees - Venue Objective of the Activity Date 22 JULY 2017 NATIONAL MUSEUM, MANILA TO PARTICIPATE ON DISTRICT S JOINT INDUCTION OF NEW CHAPTER OFFICERS AND TURN OVER CEREMONY OF DISTRICT DIRECTOR Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic X Others INDUCTION Activity in line with 4Ps X Profession Professional X Professional Organization Professional Product Activity in support of the UAP corporate thrust X Unity X Accountability X Professional Excellence On the 22 nd of July 2017 UAP District B2 held its Induction of Incoming Chapter Officers, District Council and Turnover Ceremony at the National Museum, Padre Burgos Ave., City of Manila. Each chapter in the district had an assigned task to make sure that the event would be successful. Ar. Patrick Rodriguez and Ar. Michael Barauiz hosted the event with Ar. Joy C. Villar leading the invocation. With UAP National President, Ar. Guillermo Hisancha as the inducting officer and with other current and past UAP National officers present, the newly elected chapter officers took their oath of their service to UAP. This was followed by the oath taking of the incoming District B-2 Council ably led by Ar. Tessa Espinas-Salinas Outgoing District B-2 Director Ar. Ricardo Balagtas showed a short video presentation of the district s activities and achievements as his Valedictory Address. After this, Incoming District B-2 Director Ar, Tessa Espinas-Salinas delivered her Inaugural Address and enjoined everybody in the district to actively participate in the mapped out District Activities. The event was capped with a short tour of the National Museum and the participants having a Photo-op with Juan Luna s renowned painting, The Spolarium. Objective of the Activity TO PREPARE ON UPCOMING CHAPTER ACTIVITIES OF AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER. Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic X Others MEETING Activity in line with 4Ps Profession Professional X Professional Organization Professional Product Activity in support of the UAP corporate thrust X Unity Accountability Professional Excellence As preparation for the upcoming 2 nd GMM for the fiscal year, Board of Directors (BOD) met up on July 31, 2017 at Gerry s Grill Restaurant in SM North Edsa, Quezon City to finalize the preparations for the event. The BOD assigned program managers and officers to make sure all the preparations will be implemented accordingly during the event. Aside from the 2 nd GMM, the BOD also had an initial discussion for the activities lined up for august up to October, including the chapter s anniversary, to avoid any conflicts in the schedule.
