Adult Paint Night Monday, November 27 We'll take a look at some of the amazing folk art of Grandma Moses, a self-taught American painter. Then, using birch trees as our inspiration, we'll create winter landscape paintings using watercolors. A step-by-step demonstration will be provided by a Certified Teacher or Artist, so no experience is necessary. Must be at least 18-years-old and a Matawan Aberdeen library card holder to participate. How to Start a Small Business in New Jersey Thursday, November 4:30 pm This course will teach you about: --The different business structures --How to register a small business in New Jersey *Legal entity registration *Individual structured business --How to report your New Jersey business income Health and Exercise for Adults Chair Yoga Thursday, November 1:30 pm Are you interested in learning yoga, but have difficulty getting down on the floor? Now you too can enjoy all the benefits of yoga without having to get on a mat. You will learn many yoga postures, breathing techniques, mediation and relaxation while seated in a chair. The class will be taught by Danielle Meany, RYT. All levels welcome. No experience or equipment is necessary. Yoga Basics Thursday, November 11:00 am This class is great for the beginner or experienced student
5 as we give variations for all levels. Focusing on movement integrating breath, awareness, and alignment, you will build strength, focus, flexibility, and balance for both mind and body. The class will be taught by Tula Yoga instructor, Jennifer Cavalieri. Please bring your own yoga mat or large towel. Must be at least 18 years old to participate. (At the time of writing, this event was filling up. Check for availability. Also routinely check the library's web site for upcoming months.) MAPL Kids Are the Best!! On-going and Special Programs for Kids, Tweens, and Teens! This November, MAPL offers a variety of programs for children from six months on up, and all the way through teens. This program will take you beyond checking your and browsing the Internet to see a wide range of tools and functions, ranging from the innumerable apps in the Google Play store to wirelessly connected devices using Bluetooth, and much more. ONE-ON-ONE COMPUTER SESSIONS MAPL offers free one-on-one computer sessions with knowledgeable computer techs. Each session will be an hour long and cover a range of topics such as online forms, s, the Internet, resumes, and any other general computer questions you may have.
