1 News and Events January/February 2019 baycountylibrary.org Winter Reading Program Through February 2, 2019 Teen Program (Grades 6-12) & Adult Program Read or listen for a total of 8 hours, return your completed reading log and have your name entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $50 Visa gift card (one winner in each of the teen and adult programs). Children s Program (Grades 6 & Under) Winter is a great time to read! Pick up a log at any BCLS location. Enter for a chance to win a $25.00 movie theater gift card when you complete your log. New this year: online registration and tracking! Thanks to the Library of Michigan, our patrons have free access to Wandoo Reader, a web-based reading program application featuring individual registrations or a family program management portal so you can log your reading from anywhere, anytime! Registration is simple and program requirements are the same as the paper log: read or listen to 8 hours of anything you can think of from books, audio books, newspapers, magazines, and graphic novels, to blogs, e-books, e-audio books, and more! Just keep track of your minutes. A link to each of our online programs is available on our home page at Book Wirt - Watch What You Read! Each month we ll read a book that has been made into a movie. On the 3rd Monday of the month in Wirt s community room, we ll enjoy popcorn and watch the movie, followed by a book vs movie discussion! Each month s book selection will be available in the Fiction area on a first come, first served basis one month prior to the movie date.
