Pennies In- We will be playing a fun trivia game based on the players lives and past experiences it will be lots of fun. Brings back memories you thought you had forgotten about. That Comedy Club- Come join us for a good laugh have some fun with your friends and laugh at some good comedy on February 28 th at 10 a.m. People Places and Things- Come Join us for a fun brain teasing game of People, Places, and Things on Feburary 21 st at 11 a.m. Special Interest /Groups This Day In History Morning & Word Puzzles- We have a coffee social with word puzzles every weekday from 9 a.m. to 10a.m. Bible Study- Bible class meets every Wednesday from 10a.m.-11:50 a.m. Remember to bring your Bible. Crochet Class- Come enjoy fun and fellowship while learning to crochet. Classes are every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. Quilting Class- Learn how to quilt with Ms. Thelma Johnson on Tuesday from 9:00-11:30 a.m. Supply list will be available at the front desk for anyone interested in quilting; the students will make copies of patterns for the quilt they want to make Birthday Celebration If you are a member of the center and have a birthday in February please make sure the Activity Coordinator, Lindsey Huff has your name and birthdate. 4 Entertainment Movie Day- On February 8 th at 10 a.m. we will be viewing a movie by the name of The Story Of Rosa Parks (RT-PG13). This biopic tells the story of civil rights activist Rosa Parks as a secretary for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Parks defends local children who have been victimized by racism. But when she is arrested after refusing to give up her bus seat for a white passenger, Parks inspires the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott. Movie Day- On February 15 th at 10 a.m. we will be Viewing Betty And Corretta (Rt- PG13) Coretta Scott King and Dr. Betty Shabazz develop a friendship after the tragic deaths of their husbands; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X and through their strength and dignity they carried on the civil rights movement becoming role models for millions of women all over the world. Movie Day- On February 22 nd at 10 a.m. we will be Viewing Maya Angelous and Still I Rise (Rt- PG13) The story of iconic writer, poet, actress and activist Maya Angelou whose life intersected some of the most significant moments in the recent history of the United States of America. Education Chair Travel- Come join us for our fantasy adventure where we will take a trip exploring 9 beautiful places to celebrate love on February 13 th at 10 a.m. This trip will be lots of fun and a very breathtaking experience Dorchester County Book Mobile - Come and Explore the Bookmobile on February 5 th and 26 th from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Please bring your library card if you have one. Celebrating Abraham Lincolns Birthday - Come and Explore the life of Abraham Lincoln on February 12 th at 10 a.m. Trivia Games and Brain Challengers- Join us and play a variety of trivia and brain stimulation games. February 13 th will be February Fun Trivia Games at 11 a.m. February 27 th will be February Fun Hidden Picture Puzzles at 11a.m. Health and Physical Education Blood Pressure and Glucose Screening- A registered nurse from Hospice Care of SC will be here on February 21 st at 10a.m. to do blood pressure and glucose screenings. Vistelan Health Care presentation On February 20 th at 10 a.m. there will be a presentation by Gayle williford with Clemson Extention. Zumba Gold- Come and join us for a fun interesting way to shed some unwanted pounds. We will be having afternoon Zumba every Monday at 2 p.m. Sit and Fit- Join us for a DVD class doing exercises from a seated position on every February 21 st at 10 a.m. Fall Prevention Presentation- We will be having a presentation on Fall Prevention presented by Michelle Houck HCA healthcare please join us on November 19 th at 10 a.m.

Celebrating Senior Week We will be celebrating seniors the week of 11 th -15 th Each Day will be something different fun and exciting. Come join us at 10 a.m. to celebrate our seniors Supply Trip Walmart In Walterboro We will take a trip to Walmart in Walterboro on February 11 th at 9:45 a.m. Fee will be $1.00 at time of sign up at front desk. Deadline to sign up is February 7 th. There are many areas where volunteers would be able to assist with programs and services such as packaging or delivering meals to the homebound members, assisting with activities at the center, teaching classes and conduct individual workshops to share your talents and expertise.
