2 COMMANDER S CORNER Members: Once again the holidays are upon us. Do not forget to reset your clocks. Nov. 5th is the end of Daylight Savings back 1 hour. Nov. 11th Veterans (Armistice Day) Day ceremony begins at 4:30 hamburgers and franks afterwards, please bring a dish to share. Nov. 23rd Thanksgiving Day Dinner at 3:30 Dish to share. Dec. 7th Pearl Harbor Day Remember to honor those men and women who gave of themselves The Greatest Generation. Thank you from all of us. Dec. 16th Kids Christmas Party Dec. 23rd Adult Christmas Party Dec. 31st New Year s Party from 3-5 Please remember all those people who have nothing, in these days of celebration. Bill Cona, Commander Post 2473 VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS POST 2473 Meeting Night is Held the 2nd Tuesday of Each Month at 6:00 p.m. Corner I d like to thank all our snow birds that are coming back to see us again this year. Long time no see. We have a busy Nov. & Dec. planned this year, hope to see you all have fun with us. Our thanks to all of our entertainers, our staff and mess hall crew this past year. We are looking forward to Veteran s Day, we will have a service at 4:30pm and food afterwards, please bring a dish. Our children s Christmas party will be Dec. 17 at 1:00pm, and our adult Christmas party will be on Dec. 23, with details to be posted on the board at the Post. New Year s Eve we will have a DJ from 3:00-7:00, anyone wanting to bring o rdouvres, please do. Thank you for all your support. Kat Lambert

3 AUXILIARY NEWS This year is really flying by! Thanks to all who help to make our programs a success. Special thanks to Patriotic Instructor, Jan Koch and her assistant Past District Commander Bob Koch for all of their hard work and donations that made the POW/MIA program so moving. Also, many thanks for all of their time and hard work on our Poppy Drives. We always focus on Veterans, their families, youth, and patriotism. This year our Dept President's Special Project is Paws for Patriots. Please turn in your rinsed aluminum cans to the Post for recycling for this purpose. The Newsletter is published every 2 months so your ad will appear six (6) times per year. Cost is $60 annually, or $15 per issue.
