4 DATE: 08/29/2018 AGENDA SECTION & NUMBER: 3.1 AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Approval of Funds Staff Desk Chairs ASG Coputerlab BACKGROUND: The existing desk chairs for the classified staff members in the ASG Computer Lab need to be replaced with new ergonomic chairs. The total cost to purchase 2 desk chairs is $ ($324.36/ea) which includes sales tax. COST: Not to exceed $ Move to approve up to $ from the New Equipment account # for the purchase of 2 new staff desk chairs for the ASG Computer Lab. 4

5 DATE: 08/29/2018 AGENDA SECTION & NUMBER: 3.2 AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Approval of Funds Student Services Technician Laptop BACKGROUND: A new laptop is needed for Robin Herndon, Student Services Technician, to use for ASG business purposes including taking minutes at ASG & ICC meetings. The current laptop is several years old and needs to be replaced as it no longer works effectively. The cost to replace the laptop is $ which includes all applicable fees and sales tax. COST: Not to exceed $ Move to approve up to $ from the New Equipment account # for the purchase of a new laptop. 5

7 DATE: 08/29/2018 AGENDA SECTION & NUMBER: 3.4 AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Approval of Funds ASG Computer Lab Student Work Desk Chair BACKGROUND: A new chair is needed to replace a missing chair in one of the student work desk areas in the ASG Computer Lab. The total cost to purchase 1 desk chair is $ which includes sales tax.. COST: Not to exceed $ Move to approve up to $ from the New Equipment account # for the purchase of a new student work desk chair staff for the ASG Computer Lab. 7

8 DATE: 8/29/2018 AGENDA SECTION & NUMBER: 3.5 AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Approval of Funds Student Center Furniture BACKGROUND: One of the legacy projects that last year s ASG Senate pursued was updating some portions of the Student Center including replacing the existing furniture located in the atrium and installing a genius bar. This year s ASG Senate has agreed to move forward with implementing phase 2 of this project which would include purchasing additional furniture for the Student Center atrium. ASG has received approval from the District for the project and quotes have been received from the furniture company. The quote for the furniture is $17, which includes the purchase of the following: 4 additional tables 12 additional plastic chairs 2 small tables Additional soft seating Labor and installation costs COST: Not to exceed $20,000 Move to transfer $20,000 from the Special Projects account # into Student Center Modifications account # and approve up to $20,000 from Student Center Modifications account # for the purchase of additional furniture for the Student Center. 8
