3 1. CONFLICTS OF COMPETCE WITH AND REQUESTS FOR ASSOCIATION (RULE 54) FROM OTHER COMMITTEES 1.1. "The agricultural component of TTIP negotiations with the US" (INI) Reply to the INTA letter with solid arguments why AGRI should be authorised to draft an INI report on the agricultural component of TTIP negotiations Mandate the Chair to argue in favour of this initiative during the next meeting of the Contact Group on the TTIP (chaired by the President of Parliament) where the issue of "specialised" reports on the TTIP by committees other than INTA should be discussed. Suspend decisions on reply to be given to the VI request for association and on the attribution of this report to a political group until this conflict of competence has been solved "A new EU Forest Strategy: for forests and the forest-based sector" (INI) COM(2013)0659 Send a reply to the VI letter requesting associated committee status to reject this request and offer close informal cooperation instead Agree to submit this dispute to the arbitration of the CCC if VI insists on this request 1.3 Organic production and labelling of organic products, amendment to Regulation (EU) No XXX/XXX of the European Parliament and of the Council [Official Controls Regulation] and repeal of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/ /0100 (COD) - COM(2014)0180 Explore the possibility of a compromise agreement with VI and (if this proves impossible) notify our rejection of this request for association to the CCC with a view to an arbitration 2. HEARINGS OF COMMISSIONERS-DESIGNATE Invite political groups to nominate their speakers for the 45 slots allocated to them (with possible replacements in case of absence) in the hearing of Commissionerdesignate Hogan (agriculture and rural development) Insist with the Chair of the CCC and the Presidents of political groups that a reasonable number of AGRI members be effectively given speaking time during the hearing of Commissioner-designate Andriukaitis (health and food safety) in compliance with AGRI's status as an associated committee in this hearing organised by VI Ask for a Vice-Chair of the AGRI Committee (in the absence of the Chair) to be invited to the meeting of VI Coordinators to participate in the evaluation of Mr PV\ doc 3/10 PE v01-00
