Ever do it yourself? If you hear someone say I m too old/young for that, get curious ask them why they feel that way. Or do you accept that s the way things have to be? Enough!!! Let s choose how we want to live and age. Join us on Thursday, March 8, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, as members of Disrupt Aging in Your Community offers a 90-minute interactive conversation often funny, sometimes raw, always honest exploring perspectives of aging from different generations. New ways of living and aging will be featured, and the products and solutions that make this possible. Presented by AARPCT. Please call to sign up for this dynamic program. Free! Also enjoy the fabulous entertainment by the SRL Irish Dance Academy! The talented students will be performing a selection of traditional and contemporary pieces of Irish dancing. SRL Irish Dance, founded by Courtney Jay TCRG, opened in July, 2014, in South Windsor, and has since grown to over 80 students from all over central CT, western MA, and beyond! Students train several hours a week to learn repertoire from the tradition. They perfect their technique, and work together to create outstanding performances! Get the advice you need to fill out your federal and state income tax returns from trained AARP volunteers. Please bring your 1099 and W-2 forms together with a copy of your 2016 tax return. Tax returns will be filed for you electronically. Appointments are necessary and time slots fill up quickly. Register by calling between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Spark Your Memories & Dreams! Instructed by professional writer and poet, Elizabeth Thomas, this new writing workshop is designed to help you recall your life stories and capture them through the written word. Our town, along with many others in the state, are continuing to deal with vehicles being broken into and stolen from our neighborhoods. I implore all of you, please DO NOT leave a spare set of vehicle keys in your locked, or unlocked car! Your vehicle will be stolen! Also, please do not leave your vehicle(s) unlocked! The suspects are looking for unlocked vehicles. They will go through and steal your personal items. If you leave keys to your vehicle in your car, they will steal your vehicle! PLEASE LOCK YOUR CARS!! Also be advised that the parking ban is still in effect. Please do not park your vehicle on the street between the hours of 1:00am-6:00am from Nov. 15 th - Apr. 15 th, or you will be fined $15. If your vehicle is parked on the street during a snow storm, you will be fined $15 and your vehicle may be towed (per Windsor Town Ordinance).
