2 October 2018 Volume 25 Issue 10 MEETING MINUTES Page 2 by Murry Randell, Secretary September 17th, 2018 Meeting The September 17th meeting of the Blue Max RC Flying Club was called to order at 7:00pm by President Steve Gelman Welcome Guests None Welcome New Members None Around The Hangar President s Report Steve Gelman: meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. No Report Secretary Report Murry Randell: The minutes were accepted as published in the newsletter. Treasurer Report Jim Kaufman: Numbers were given Newsletter Report Bob Breckler: Thanks to all for their photos. Webmaster Report Doug Bradbury: No Report. Committee Reports: Winter Banquet OPEN: The Banquet will be held at the Continental Restaurant on Feb 12th, Field Marshal Jim Kaufman: grass needs cutting, they are not cutting on a regular basis right now. They will ask Howard to give the Forest Preserve a call. Fun Fly Don Linder: Winners so far Touch and Go: 1st Ron Pettered 2nd Bob Breckler and 3rd Don Linder. New Business Banquet was discussed and a finalized date was set for February 12th, 2019 at the Continental Restaurant in Buffalo Grove (same place as last year), more to come on the price and menu and sending out sign up notices. Crash Reports Another sign of the pending winter...no Crash Reports this month FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS We are collecting non-perishable foods for a local food pantry. The food pantry we are donating to is Our Lady of Ransom/St Vincent de Paul. Please bring your donations to our monthly meetings. Thanks to Carl Will for delivering the Food to the Pantry.

5 October 2018 Volume 25 Issue 10 Page 5 Show & Tell Last months Show and Tell was actually a give away, as some may know three weeks ago Terrance was flying his favorite plane, his 60 size spacewalker, after a few rounds of the pattern for some reason he lost radio contact with the plane and all control. He was northwest of the field quite a way off and for a few day s after that search parties were sent out to try and recover the plane, even with help of one of the drone pilots to try and locate it. It was finally found but only after a week of searching and at least a few day s of rain. The club would like to thank all that helped with the search and a special thanks to Mike Melendy who stepped up and donated one of his 60 sized ugly sticks to Terrance to replace his lost plane. And to Carl Will who is working with Terrance to do radio setup and do the maiden. Congratulations Terrance and Happy Flying
