As usual the food was great and enjoyed by all. Please remember to bring in canned goods to the next meeting. It is always good to know we have helped to make someone s holiday better. We will also be having our Brown Bag Auction at that meeting. Sparky will be the Auctioneer and he is always a lot of fun. I wish to thank Ken for all his work tracking down the new insurance policy for the club. A really good job Ken!! Remember the dinner at Wright s Chicken Farm is on November 4 th, meeting at the restaurant at 12:00 noon. Please let Evie Osborne know if you will be attending if you have not already signed up, as she will need a head count. The rest of the info is elsewhere in the Quail. Also a thank you to the Committee for finding a new venue for the club. We have been looking for a new location for some time. I hope we will have a few more days to be able to take out the A s as Mother Nature is giving us a taste of cooler weather and colorful foliage. Looking forward to seeing you all at the next meeting. 2 Little Rhody Model A Club Regular Meeting Meeting Called To Order- Dawn Mennucci The meeting was called to order at 6:02 PM by Dawn Mennucci, President. The role was distributed for signatures. Secretary's Report- John Mennucci The reading of the Secretary's report was waived by membership vote. Treasurer's Report- Evie Osborne The report was read by Evie Osborne, Treasurer, and was accepted as read by membership vote. Vice-President's Report- Bob Osborne Bob talked about Bertha Goldberg's thank you note. She enjoys us keeping her in the loop. Bertha is 97 years young. Also a thank you to Bertha for her donation to the club. Newsletter Editor's- Al & Sandy Bowder No report. Publisher's- Al & Sandy Bowder No report. Historian- Susan Mosca Susan says she is accepting album info, photos etc. Guests and New Members Edward & Mary Ouellette attended their first meeting and joined the club. Arthur Caparrelli and Miranda Glenn attended as guests. Correspondence and Notices Bob read a letter from Brian Lucier re. the use of Model A's to drive to his father's grave in the Veteran's Cemetery. Committee Reports: National Editor- Susan Mosca Articles are set. New England Rep- Domenic Mosca Domenic doesn't have any info for next year's event. He does know that the host hotel is full. Ken Trudel has the info as to the dates etc. Membership- Domenic Mosca All set. Hospitality- Susan Mosca Susan thanked everyone for bringing food for the Pot Luck. She also talked about the Christmas Party. It will be on December 1 st at 2;00 PM at Richard's Pub. Susan read off the food to be served. It is much the same as last year. The price will be $36.00 unless the club pays for the cheese tray which is $95.00, then the price will be $34.00 per person. It was voted that the club would pay for the cheese tray and the meal price to members would be $34.00 Sunshine- Marguerite Pakuris There were no cards sent out. A card will be sent to Tom Cash's companion and to Paula Taylor. Librarian- John Budziak He will have the National magazines available at the next meeting. Webmaster- Richard Preliasco No report. Program- Moe & Janice Rousseau There will be a Brown Bag Auction at the next meeting. Sparky will be the Auctioneer.

3 Photographer- Bob Osborne The blog has been updated with the latest photos. Ken Trudel suggested that we might want to look into the possibility of hosting our own website. Bob was taking pictures of the Pot Luck. Business Old/New Dawn mentioned bringing in canned goods to the next meeting to be donated to the food pantry. Dawn mentioned Toys for Tots at the Christmas party, all unwrapped gifts to be donated. Evie mentioned Wright's Farm Chicken dinner on November 4 th at 12:00 PM. The cost will be $18.00 per person or $37.00 per couple. She will need a head count. Ken mentioned the new insurance policy is ready to put into effect. The savings will be approximately $ The club thanked Ken for all the work he did. The policy will be in effect on November 1, Ken stated the work he did was not in connection to any insurance company, and he is not a member of FINRA. GeorgeTaber talked about our new venue at the Cornerstone of Faith United Methodist Church, 1081 Washington St. Coventry. George mentioned details about our move to the church hall. George passed out a sheet spelling out the details of using the venue. It sounds like a great place for our meetings. It will cost the club $25.00 per meeting in the form of a donation. The first meeting will be in January. Carol Trudel asked about assisting Susan Mosca with the decorations etc for the Christmas party, including finances. Upcoming events include Veterans Day parades, one in Wickford on Nov. 11, and another In N. Kingston on Nov. 12 meeting at 9:30 AM at Wilson park bank. MAFFI Liaison Letter October 2018 Thanks to all the volunteers that made 2018 Model A Day such a success. I would particularly like to thank and recognize Tim Kelly and his family for bringing his collection of Town Cars and Town Car Deliveries to the museum. It takes a lot of personal effort to transport and display such a valuable and rare collection. What a great experience. We had over 200 Model A s attend and our swap meet area had to be extended behind the Cadillac Museum to accommodate the number of vendors. With the weather perfect for the entire weekend, attendance set a new record. We hope you will make plans to visit the museum in the future and join us for the 2019 Model A Day which will be September 21, 2019.

4 Monthly Meetings Monthly membership meetings are usually held on the second Sunday of each month (excluding August) at the Rocky Hill Grange So County Trail, East Greenwich, RI. Meetings commence at 6:30pm * unless otherwise noted. Directions: From 95 South, merge onto RT 4 south via exit 9 on the left toward No Kingstown. Take the RT 401 exit 8 toward Rt 2 East Greenwich (first exit) Turn left onto Division St. Turn left onto So County Trail. Grange is on left From 95 North: merge onto RT 2 south via Exit 8A toward Rt 4 East Greenwich, Grange is on left. From South County: take Rt 4 north toward Providence. Merge onto Rt 401West/Division St via exit 8B toward Rt 2. Turn left onto Division St, turn left onto So. County Trail. Grange is on the left. Advertising Fees for Ads Members: Free Ad Non-Members: $25 per year for business card Ad Ads will be published in a timely manner in the next available Quail Tales, depending upon date of receipt and payment, for requested ad -- per guidelines of deadline set for publishing additions to Quail Tales.
