SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS Dr. Sue Shk Elementary Schl cunselr Mnica Dminguez was recgnized fr being named an American Schl Cunselr Assciatin (ASCA) Natinal Cunselr f the Year finalist. El Drad High Schl Baseball cach Jhn Beard was recgnized fr being hnred as Cach f the Year by El Pas Baseball Hall f Fame. The members f the New Schl Naming Task Frce were recgnized fr their service. FACILITIES REPORT Tm Eyeingtn, Chief Operatins Officer fr Facilities & Planning, prvided a presentatin f the 2011 Bnd prgram cnstructin prjects t include the HVAC upgrades at varius campuses and an update n areas with inclement weather prblems. NEW COMBO SCHOOL NAMING COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS REPORT Daniel Escbar, Directr f Public Relatins, prvided the Bard f Trustees with a summary reprt f the cmmittee s actins and the final recmmendatins. The cmmittee s name recmmendatins were finalized via cnsensus: Maria Del Scrr Ramirez Elementary Schl; Lt. Cl. Thmas Wilke Elementary Schl; and Missin Ridge Elementary Schl. DeRuen, Chief Human Resurces Officer, prvided a reprt detailing the status f all instructinal emplyees in relatin t Highly Qualified standards as utlined in Public Law , als knwn as N Child Left Behind (NCLB). EL PASO CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS Bard President Cynthia Najera reprted that as per state law, the 2012/2013 term fr the El Pas Central Appraisal District Bard f Directrs cncludes n December 31, The new term begins January 1, 2014 and runs thrugh December 31, Bard members serve tw-year terms beginning January 1 f even-numbered years. There are tw (2) vacancies n the El Pas Central Appraisal District Bard f Directrs. A mtin was made by Michael Najera, secnded by Paul Guerra, t reappint Gary Gandara and Rey Sepulveda fr the El Pas Central Appraisal District Bard f Directrs. The mtin carried with a vte.
