2 PUBLIC COMMENT Todd Weisenburger would like to discuss the softball program when it comes time on the agenda. STANDING REPORTS Athletic Report was presented by Vicky Bender: XC is over. Results from regional meet held October 24 th. West Region awards; Girls: Kate Fox 1 st and all region team, and nominated for Senior Athlete of the Year. Brook Tibke 9 th and all region team. Boys: Cole Boyson 10 th and all region. Tucker Johnson 13 th. Colton Hytenten 16 th. JV girl s team 2 nd. Emily Boyson 8 th. Morgan Miller 5 th. Results from State XC: Girls team 4 th overall. Kate Fox State Class B Champion, All State Honors, also Senior Athlete of the Year. Brook Tibke 10 th Place and All State Honors. Volleyball is over. 2 nd place in District 10 Tournament. All district honors went to Paige Hausauer and McKenzie Thorson. Honorable mention Karlee Arnold. All-tournament team members were Paige Hausauer and McKenzie Thorson. Southern McLean football awards will be announced at banquet November 17 in Washburn. This banquet will be for football, XC and Cheerleading. GBB begins Monday November 16 and BBB begins Monday November 30. Washburn announced that they voted to field their own softball this year and play a JV schedule. So they will not be asking us to Coop this year. Elementary Report was presented by Ms. Kady: Supervision-Completed all formal evaluations for continuing teachers and first round for beginning teachers. Completed school-wide walk-throughs focused on Routines and Procedures. Informal s will take place 12/9 MTSS- We are still Tier 1 focused. Management and Behavior: We are 4 chapters into our CHAMPS book study and will be teachers will be earning credit through UND. Started a community outreach project to get recognition prizes Miner Moment celebration- this is a work in progress. Walmart partnered with Wilton as part of the Teacher Incentive program and gave away $1,000 in gift cards, supplies, and treats to staff. We are bringing in Miss West Fargo 2016 to present to classes. Guidance is starting the 7 Habits (Covey) with all elementary and junior high classes. As a staff, we are continuing with the Energy Bus. Academics: We are progress monitoring at risk students and providing added assistance in classrooms. We will be Interim assessing students prior to XMAS break to allow teachers to plan instruction accordingly Instruction- Our early out was focused around watching staff videos using eliciting responses techniques. We are moving into meaningful and explicit feedback. Staff is working on setting smart goals for 2 nd semester. Looking at enrichment opportunities for students achieving above grade level. Ms. Meier will be attending with teams a Leading Change workshop, PSUG, and Data Dig this month to further improve and tweak current processes. We have also started looking into our Crisis Response protocols. Youth Basketball is starting 11/29 Secondary Report was presented by Ms. Kady: 8th Graders and Juniors took the North Dakota State Assessment Science test at the end of October. Mr Jordan s father-in-law John Salwei gave a presentation on Native Americans to the 8th graders and 4th graders and showed his artifacts. Parent/Teacher Conferences went well and on average each teacher saw 25 parents. Our last early out was a continuation on explicit instruction. Teachers implemented strategies in their classroom and were video taped. Those were shown in the last early out and the focus for this

3 one was providing effectively and timely feedback. Our 1 Act Play performed for the regional competition today in Hazen. Not sure of the results yet. Next week I am on an AdvancEd External Review Committee. I will be going to Carrington Tuesday and Wednesday to conduct their review. I am in the process of going through evaluations with teachers. That should be wrapped up in early December. I provided Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training to all new teachers this past Thursday. Superintendent Report was presented by Ms. Kady: NDSBA Conference Nicole, Misty, Lodee gave a brief summary of sessions they went to. Ms. Kady gave an overview of the consolidated grants and state grant. We received a Infrastructure Grant for $26, from the work done on the roof. Still finishing up on the Reallocated Grants. Ms. Kady, Mr. Jordan, Mrs. Meier, Kristie, and John have been working on the Crisis Plan, they plan to add a paramedic and Deputy to the group. Talking with NDIRF Re: Risk Assessment to be completed. Bus Driving Training was here in Wilton we had about 30 people between Wilton and surrounding schools. COMMITTEE REPORTS Co-op Meeting Washburn, Wing, and Wilton Coops discussed Washburn options for softball coop. The Superintendents from Washburn, Wing, and Wilton will be meeting to Review coop agreements. Discussed Football, Cross Country and Track. Nathan will be the Head Girls Track Coach. Facilities and Transportation Todd from Western Frontier Insurance gave us an overview of our insurance plan. Jim Perras from Consolidated Construction Co. Inc. visited with the committee on options for the future. Curriculum and Policy Meeting will be held November 16 at 5pm. Ms. Kady will send out a doodle for scheduling a Technology Meeting. OLD BUSINESS A. Superintendent Evaluation - Schafer/Leapaldt-Johnson moved to approve the evaluation for Superintendent Kady as satisfactory. Property Valuation and Mill Levy update We have received an update on property valuation from the McLean County Auditor s office. Valuations are slightly higher than the preliminary projections, which results in less mills that need to be levied to raise the same amount of funding. The adjustments have been made. No action needed. B.
