NO Motion by Mrs. Proctor, second by Mr. Crum The Administration recommends approving the following: a. Membership in the Ohio School Boards Association, effective January 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018, at a cost of $5,605. b. Participation in the OSBA Legal Assistance Fund, effective January 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018, at a cost of $250. c. Memorandum of Understanding for College Credit Plus (CCP) between Hocking College and Warren Local School District, effective for the academic year, as presented. d. Donation in the amount of $100 from State Farm Insurance agent, Shawna Stump, (OU Hockey/State Farm Promo), to Warren Middle School. e. Temporary Construction Easement between the Charles E. & Oleta F. Lawton Living Trust, and the Board of Education of the Warren Local School District, as presented. f. Public Notice regarding school calendar: PUBLIC NOTICE The Warren Local School District Board of Education hereby gives public notice in accordance with section (B) of the Ohio Revised Code: Not later than thirty days prior to adopting a school calendar, the board of education of each city, exempted village, and local school district shall hold a public hearing on the school calendar, addressing topics that include, but are not limited to, the total number of hours in a school year, length of school day, and beginning and end dates of instruction. Please note that this has nothing to do with a current collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that still specifies days rather than hours (because the CBA was approved prior to July 1, 2014). RES. Pupil Activity Recommendations Employ (pending upon number of participants, successful verification of certification and experience, completion of criminal records check, and other state and local requirements for the position): WHEREAS the Warren Local School District Board of Education has offered the following supplemental positions to licensed individuals employed in the school district; and no such employees qualified to fill the position(s) have accepted them; and WHEREAS the Warren Local School District Board of Education has advertised the following supplemental positions as available to any licensed individual who is qualified to fill them, and who is not employed by the board, and no such person has applied for and accepted the position; The Warren Local Board of Education directs the Treasurer to enter into a Pupil Activity Program Contract with the following non-licensed individuals for the term of one school year. Each contract will automatically terminate at the conclusion of the school year (applicable year noted below) without action. Each contract will be for an amount equal to the amount specified under Supplemental Contracts within the negotiated agreement with the Warren Local Education Association.
