3 II. New Business Remove (*) 1. Treasurer s Business a. Review and approval of the monthly Chekp, Audits, Financ and Reconciliation Reports for the month of May b. Review of bills paid for the month of May c. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the authorization of the Treasurer to make Transfer/Advances/Expenditure Adjustments and/or Appropriation modifications as required to close fiscal year 2007 with transactions to be reported at the regular meeting in July Further, allow the Treasurer to amend appropriations not to exceed the last Amended Certificate of Estimated Resources and bring them to legal requirements. d. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the membership application to OASBO for Mr. John Zinger, Mrs. Barbara Carte, and Mrs. Karen Jakubec for the school year.

Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the authorization to the Treasurer to receive advances on Tax Settlements due to the Jackson-Milton Local Board of Education for Fiscal Year 2008 from the Mahoning County Auditor. f. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the following Resolution for Submission of Fiscal Year 2008 program proposals for Title I, Title II, Title IV, and other state, local, or federal projects. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, based upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, that the Jackson-Milton Board of Education approves this stand Resolution which requires approval to submit proposals for the following programs: Title I Title II Title V Title VI-R Title VI-B Flow Thru DPIA/PBA g. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the paying of summer cleaning help at the first step of the salary schedule only if contracted employee of the District instead of being paid at substitute pay rate.

5 h. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the Establishment of Temporary Appropriations, in accordance with Section of the Revised Code. Furthermore, that the Board adopt temporary appropriations for Fiscal Year 2008 at 25% of Fiscal Year 2007 General Fund Appropriations and ending balances for all other funds. Approved X i. Treasurer recommends that the Board authorize the Treasurer to expenditure adjust the full balance from the Emergency Loan 016 to General Fund 001. j. Treasurer recommends that the Board authorize the Treasurer to invest interim funds during Fiscal Year k. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the final FY-07 Financial Forecast per Attachment #1.

Treasurer recommends that the Board approve a Special Board Meeting for June 29, 2007, at 7:30 a.m. at the Elementary School to approve the final appropriation adjustments and year-end financial adjustments. Approved X m. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the Mahoning County Educational Service Center Agreement FY-08 as found in Attachment #2. n. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the following donations: 1. $557 from Wal-Mart to the Class of $500 from Medical Mutual of Ohio to Fund Board Scholarship 3. $50 from Jay Pac to Middle School Principals Account 4. $10, from JM Boosters to Athletic Account 5. $1,000 from Mr. Kenneth L. Bandy to Superintendent Scholarship Fund o. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the following transfer from General Fund: 1. $1,887 to Fund 2. $800 to A Athletic Fund 3. $29,000 to EMIS 432 Fund 4. $29,075 to HB264 Fund $28 to Class $1,073 to High School Cheerleading Account A

7 p. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the carryover of vacation days for Mr. John Zinger, Treasurer, for the new contract beginning August 1, q. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the liability insurance with Ohio School Plan starting July 1, 2007 June 30, 2008, in the amount of $5, Approved X r. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the two extend days, June 13 and June 14, 2007, for Mrs. Valerie Sullivan, Middle School Guidance. Approved X s. Treasurer recommends that the Board approve the following negotiations dates between JMEA, OAPSE, and the Jackson-Milton Board of Education. The Board provides the lunch for the meetings: June 11, June 25, June 28, July 12, and July 17, 2007.

8 2. Superintendent s Business a. Recommend that the Board appoint Sue Karash as Delegate and Joe Yochman as an alternate to attend the Annual Capital Conference in Columbus, Ohio, in November b. Recommend that the Board approve the supplemental contract for Miss Brenda McDougal as Lead Mentor for the school year. (Continuation of Memorandum of Understanding Lead Mentor). Motion by c. Recommend that the Board approve the following summer workers to help with cleaning of the school buildings: 1. Santino Pizzuto 2. Matt Mascioli 3. Dustin Grosick 4. Ben Roberts 5. Ashlee Smith 6. 9 Motion by d. Recommend that the Board accept the written resignation of Mr. Dan Ewing as the Varsity Head Boys Basketball Coach effective June 1, e. Recommend that the Board approve the written resignation of Ms. Kim Bauer as the Varsity Girls Track Coach effective June 8, f. Recommend that the Board approve the written resignation of Miss Anne Downs as the Assistant Varsity Girls Track Coach effective June 8, g. Recommend that the Board approve the hiring of Miss Kristine Prince in accordance with Section 1.04 of the JMEA Master Agreement Bachelors Degree zero years experience for the school year.

Recommend that the Board approve the 15-day appointment offer and one-year contract with zero years experience, Bachelor Degree, to Ms. Leah Wetherald as High School Mathematics Teacher for the school year. i. Recommend that the Board approve the 15-day appointment offer and one-year contract with zero years experience, Masters Degree, to Mr. Mark DeBruin as High School Mathematics Teacher for the school year pending available position. j. Recommend that the Board approve the 15-day appointment offer and oneyear contract with zero years experience, Bachelor Degree, to Mr. Daniel Miller as High School Science Teacher for the school year. _

11 k. Recommend that the Board approve the written request of Mrs. Sue Thomas to retire as a member of the classified staff effective September 1, Approved X l. Recommend that the Board approve the written request of Mrs. Michele Barnett to resign her second contract as cleaning person at the Elementary School effective June 30, Approved X m. Recommend that the Board approve the appointment of the following named personnel to extra-curricular contracts for the school year pending valid CPR and Pupil Activity Certification prior to the beginning of the season: High School Mr. Derrick Kittle Band Director Ms. Erika White Cheerleading Advisor Middle School Ms. Kim Hutzler Cheerleading Advisor n. Recommend that the Board approve the written request of Mrs. Sue Prozy, Varsity Volleyball Coach, and Miss Linda Craig, JV Volleyball Coach, to take the High School team to a Team Camp at Lehman Catholic High School in Sidney, Ohio, from July 27 July 29, 2007, which will require overnight stay at no cost to the School District.

Recommend that the Board approve the 15-day appointment offer and oneyear contract with zero years experience, Bachelor Degree, to Mr. Robert Maine, Music Teacher for the school year. q. Recommend that the Board approve the 15-day appointment offer and oneyear contract with zero years experience, Bachelor Degree +15, to Rochelle Morelli, Middle School Language Arts for the school year.

Recommend that the Board approve the Resolution Determining to Submit to the Electors of the Jackson-Milton Local School District the Question of the Renewal of an Existing Tax Levy to Avoid an Operating Deficit of the School District Pursuant to ORC to as found in Attachment #4. s. Recommend that the Board approve the Resolution of Necessity to Levy a Renewal Tax for the Permanent Improvement Requirements of the Jackson-Milton Local School District (RC Section ) as found in Attachment #5. t. Recommend that the Board approve the Jackson-Milton Middle School Handbook for the school year as proposed by Mrs. Lisa Whitacre. Approved X u. Recommend that the Board approve the changes to the Jackson-Milton Elementary Handbook for the school year as proposed by Mr. Kirk Baker.

14 v. Recommend that the Board approve the Resolution Agreement Regarding the Mahoning County School Employee Insurance Consortium as found in Attachment #6. w. Recommend that the Board approve the 15-day appointment offer and one-year contract with zero years experience, Bachelor Degree, to Holly Pekalla Intervention Specialist for the Elementary School for the school year J.
