For those traveling to be with family and friends we wish all of you safe travels. Once again the Homeowners Association will provide Thanksgiving Dinner at the clubhouse. We want to thank all of our volunteers who come together to make this possible. This dinner is free to our registered residents. Guests may attend for a nominal fee as outlined in the flyer. This event will require signing up in the clubhouse as specified in the flyer. Anthony Lananna Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse. The Federation of Manufactured Home Owners of Florida needs your support to continue to work for all of us who own our homes on leased land. As of Nov. 1, 2014, the FMO membership will cost $25 for one year, or $65 for 3 years. Our next District meeting will be on Wed., Nov. 12 at the Everglades Mobile Home Park in Davie. There will be free coffee and donuts beginning at 9:30. The meeting starts at 10:00 and lasts 1-1 1/2 hours. All are welcome. Contact me if you need a ride. POOL IS HEATED BOWLING REMINDER NEW TIME Our new league started on October 16, 2014 at our Margate Brunswick Bowling Alley at 2:00 PM every Thursday. Please use lights on all vehicles. When walking at night use flashlights or other visible reflection. FREE SMOKE DETECTOR PROGRAM There is a program sponsored by the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to provide and install smoke detectors for homes in Coconut Creek that do not have operable smoke detectors. These will be provided to residents free of charge. CERT volunteers will provide the necessary installation. The CERT Team will be coming to Deerfield Lake. To receive this service, please sign up as soon as possible in the office. In September an average of 25 people played every week. We took in $1330 during the month and gave out $1293, which means that every week we gave out $323, with a jackpot of $100 weekly. If you didn't win any of this, it's probably because you didn't play. Come out to the Clubhouse on Tuesdays at 6:45 and have two hours of fun and prizes with your friends and neighbors Men s Breakfast Club Welcome Back Winter Residents! The Men s Breakfast Club meets monthly on the 3 rd Wednesday of each month. We had 9 men attending the October breakfast. We welcome all of our men to join us. We meet at the Clubhouse at 8:30 am and car pool to the destination of the month. A SIGN-UP Sheet is in the clubhouse. The November breakfast will be Wednesday, November 19 th at Denise's Kitchen, 2335 NE 5th Ave, Pompano Beach. Questions or Requests for a Vendor Table Contact Sale Coordinators: Barb Dorothy America s Moms For Soldiers sends monthly care packages to Soldiers, Marines and Airmen serving in Iraq and Afghanistan who receive little or no mail from home. Many of the servicemen and women we support are assigned to Forward Operating Bases or Outposts where they do not have access to basic items such as snacks, hygiene supplies, and personal health articles as well as a variety of treats. We work directly with Chaplains and Commanders to coordinate our efforts to provide support to those who do not receive care packages from home. There is a box in the Clubhouse for your donations. There are also flyers in the Clubhouse that provide specific details on the supplies that are needed. If you have any questions, please call Ginger at ( ) between 1 PM and 6 PM.
