Six (6) SEWCC members present, i.e. Dick and Connie Krueger, Christine and Chris Nielson, Tom Walther and Ed Stefanski. SECRETARYS REPORT No Board Meeting No Report MaryAnn and BJ were stuck in Chicago traffic on a very snowy day. Connie Krueger took meeting notes. This is greatly appreciated at a last minute notice. Thank You Connie. TREASURER S REPORT Kim Manna not present, ed the Treasurer s report to President Dick Krueger. As of Monday, February 27 th, only 14 memberships have been paid for. (Last year at this time, 36 memberships were paid) ADVERTISING REPORT Ed Stefanski No Report BJ Messier may have more next month. QUARTERMASTERS REPORT Tom Andrekus - Not present Tom sent Dick Krueger an with the revised design for the car show T-shirt. (note: design in this issue). The design was passed around to SEWCC members present. Tom Walther made a motion to accept the design as shown and Ed Stefanski 2 nd

2 the motion. Christine Nielsen asked if the black car could be changed to white to represent red-whiteblue cars to go with the Bow Ties for Freedom theme. President Krueger explained the flags were placed over the cars to take care of that. Christine then agreed. The vote was unanimous to accept the design as presented. A big Thank You to Tom Andrekus for another great design. T-shirt orders will be taken at the Membership Party, Saturday, March 18 th and the regular Business Meeting, Sunday, April 2 nd for those wanting tank tops, sweatshirts and any other color other than the gray shirt. Orders will be sent in after the April 2 nd meeting. (prices for items will be given out at the Membership Party and April 2 nd Business Meeting) OLD BUSINESS Saturday, March 18 th, 7:00PM Membership Party at Dick and Connie Krueger. Bring a dish to pass. LAST CHANCE TO PAY 2006 DUES Membership dues Newsletter: - $30/yr plus $10.00 door prize at 2006 Car Show - (pro rated at 2.50/ per month for new members) Mailed Newsletter: - $45/yr plus $10.00 door prize at 2006 Car Show - (pro rated at 3.75/ per month for new members) Club members should pay dues to our club treasurer, Kim Manna. NEW BUSINESS Steel Car run will be Saturday, April 8 th. Meet at the 75 th Street Inn, Highway 50 at 1:00PM. Leave at 1:30PM. Supper is being planned. More info, contact Tom Andrekus or Mike Means. Chevy Vette/Fest coming up April 1 & 2 at McCormick. (see calendar) Milwuakee Mile, May 7 th. (see calendar) SEWCC Car Show: Vice President, Chris Nielson passed around the revised design for this year s car show flyer. Tom Walther made a motion to accept as shown. Christine Nielson 2 nd the motion. Unanimous vote to accept. Tom Walther gave President Dick Krueger the new sight reserved contract for the Kenosha County Center. We have the 2006 Car Show date, Sunday, August 20 th, set and firm. Vice Pres. Chris had a long visit with Ray Gallo regarding sponsorship and the show. Ray was happy to hear of the theme for this year. He did not yet give the final commitment to sponsor us, but he is 99.5% there (We will probably want to send Ray some type of car show financial report with the disbursement of the monies). Vice President, Chris, submitted a Car Show Chairman listing he would like to start filling in for the show. He also was wondering if/who would be contacting someone from the military to be present. Suggestion was to start with Jeannie Schneider. President, Dick put out some food for thought and mentioned perhaps we should have phone cards on hand to give the military personnel the day of the show. It searches for the truth as best it can, and even when it feels reasonably certain of what's true, remains open to rational argument. Open minds tend to be creative, because they seek out options and use them in innovative ways. The open mind is able to flow with the ambiguities and paradoxes of life. Instead of fighting these things, the open mind acknowledges and honors them and moves forward into awareness and constructive use of them. The closed mind, on the other hand, learns helplessness when it assumes a powerless stance. Even when it is closed in absolute certainty, it gives away its power. It becomes rigid and develops blind spots, or scotomas, to new information that may contradict what it thinks it knows. Open minds may choose to take a position based on personal values and current information, but they are willing to reconsider if it makes sense to do so. Finally, open minds are happier, healthier and much more fun to be around. So let me ask you again: Do you have an open mind? How do you know?
