1 Dear Friends: It gives us great pleasure to invite you to our annual Virginia Senate Republican Caucus Retreat at The Williamsburg Lodge. We are very excited to be once again returning to Williamsburg for our Retreat weekend being held on Sunday, September 29 Monday, September 30, We look forward to a host of new activities and chances for our attendees to interact with members of our Caucus. With its rich history and gorgeous landscape, Williamsburg offers a relaxed and enjoyable environment for the Retreat. The Williamsburg Lodge is the perfect venue within the city, offering a generous helping of southern hospitality, sided with impeccable service and a choice of comfortable accommodations. As in years past, we continue to integrate your input from prior retreats in hopes of consistently surpassing your expectations and making each Retreat better than the one before. This year, we are extremely excited to announce that Governor Bob McDonnell and members of his Administration will be joining us for various activities throughout our Retreat. We especially look forward to having the Governor and members of his Cabinet join our twenty members of the Caucus at dinner to make Sunday a particularly special evening. We re also very excited to offer a candlelit tour of Colonial Williamsburg offering hair-rising tales of ghostly hauntings and a howling good time. On Monday, we will play our annual golf tournament at the renowned and challenging Golden Horseshoe Gold Course. For those not participating in golf, we will offer an interactive and informational morning learning how soldiers lived, fought and survived in the Continental Army with a session of In Defense of our Liberty. Participants will then meander local establishments throughout Williamsburg s Merchant s Square sampling regional cuisine and libations. Upon returning to the Lodge, the group will come together and enjoy our concluding cookout luncheon with golf awards and closing remarks in the beautiful Oval Garden. Included with this invitation package is a complete schedule of events, list of sponsorship packages, overnight lodging information and a registration form. Participants can indulge in a cup of coffee, listen to music and enjoy a cigar. 9:00 PM Ghost Tour of Colonial Williamsburg After dinner, indulge in some eerie and fun folklore through the streets of Colonial Williamsburg by candlelight with members of the Caucus. Walk over after breakfast to register and warm up. 8:30 AM Golf Tournament Shotgun Start Gold Course The Golden Horseshoe s signature Gold Course provides a beautiful 18-hole captain s choice golf tournament for our attendees. Prizes will be awarded to participants following their round at the cookout. 9:00 AM Enjoy this interactive and informational morning learning how soldiers lived, fought and survived in the Continental Army with a session of In Defense of our Liberty. 6 2013 SENATE REPUBLICAN CAUCUS RETREAT LODGING INFORMATION For your convenience, a block of deluxe guestrooms has been reserved at The Williamsburg Lodge for the night of Sunday, September 29th. The following discounted rate has been negotiated for those attending the Retreat: 310 South England Street Williamsburg, VA Deluxe Guestroom: $206/night While the room block is only being held for the night of September 29th, the special rates are good for up to 3 days before and after the Retreat for individuals wishing to arrive early or stay late. **Please Note: The Caucus block is being held for Deluxe Guestrooms. The rooms in this block will be held until Friday, September 6, 2013, after which they will be released to the public for general sale. Room reservations must be made directly through The Williamsburg Lodge by calling When making reservations, you MUST identify your affiliation with the Virginia Senate Republican Caucus (VSRC) in order to receive the conference rate listed above. The Williamsburg Lodge cannot change rates at check in or check out for those guests who fail to identify their affiliation at the time of their reservation. **Please note that Caucus guests are responsible for room charges including all taxes, gratuities, and service charges.
