1 Rules of Frensham Pond Salng Club Revsed 11 Aprl Name The name of the Club shall be Frensham Pond Salng Club. 2 Ams The ams of the Club are to encourage amateur boat salng and racng. The Club s a non-proft makng organsaton. All profts and surpluses wll be used to mantan or mprove the Clubs facltes. No proft or surplus wll be dstrbuted. 3 Rules and By-Laws All members shall accept and abde by the Rules and By-laws of the Club. The Rules may be altered or repealed and new Rules added only by a resoluton passed at a General Meetng of the Club, by not less than two-thrds majorty of those members enttled to vote, present and votng. The notce of the General Meetng shall specfy the proposed alteratons and the quorum shall be 21 members enttled to vote. Such alteratons shall be subject to approval by the Waverley Borough Councl. The General Commttee shall have the power to create, amend and repeal the Club By-laws (not nconsstent wth these Rules or the covenants and stpulatons contaned n the Second Schedule of the Lease and Lcence dated 5th June 1964, between the Hambledon Rural Dstrct Councl and the Club), as amended by the agreement wth Waverley Dstrct Councl and the Club dated January 1978 and subsequent amendments, as they may from tme to tme thnk expedent for the management of the Club but such Club By-laws may at any tme be set asde by a resoluton of a General Meetng of the Club. Frensham Pond Salablty, a regstered chartable company lmted by guarantee, shall be governed by the Memorandum and Artcles of Frensham Pond Salablty Lmted and by the Rules of Frensham Pond Salablty Lmted as approved by the Frensham Pond Salng Club General Commttee and as amended from tme to tme. 4 Electon of Members Every canddate for membershp of the Club shall be proposed by a member enttled to vote. Every applcaton must be proposed by a Class Captan or member of the General Commttee pror to submsson of a completed applcaton form to the Honorary Membershp Secretary. Membershp wll commence no sooner than 48 hours from FPSC Handbook , Edton 4 (August 19, 2017) Rules 8 1

Canddates (except those for Wnter membershp and tranng course attendees) shall be elected by a majorty of not less than two-thrds of the members n a properly convened General Commttee meetng. Canddates for Wnter membershp may be accepted by the Honorary Membershp Secretary subject to any drectons gven by the General Commttee and provded that 48 hours have elapsed from the date of approval of the applcaton. Canddates requrng Restrcted Famly membershp for attendance on Club RYA tranng courses may be accepted by the Tranng Prncpal, subject to any drectons gven by the General Commttee, and provded that applcaton acceptance s completed at least 48 hours pror to course commencement. Canddates for Salor and Helper membershp of Frensham Pond Salablty shall be accepted n accordance wth the Rules of Frensham Pond Salablty, subject to the drectons gven by the General Commttee, and provded that applcaton acceptance s completed at least 48 hours pror to the commencement of membershp benefts. Other than Honorary Lfe Members, no members shall be enttled to any of the benefts or prvleges of the Club untl ther entrance fees and subscrptons have been pad. Honorary Lfe Members and Honorary Members must be elected by the General Commttee by a two-thrds majorty. For Honorary Lfe Members, the General Commttee s proposals must be ratfed by a General Meetng of members. 5 Membershp Categores Full Famly Membershp provdes full salng and socal rghts for two named adults, resdng at the same address, together wth chldren up to the age of 18, and/or bona fde students from 18 up to 23, to whom they are parent or guardan. Ths category carres votng rghts for the two adult members only, enttlement to a berth, subject to the terms and condtons of the berth polcy, and the requrement to undertake dutes. Full Membershp provdes full salng and socal rghts for the member and socal rghts to a named partner and ther chldren. Ths category carres votng rghts for only the full member, enttlement to a berth, subject to the terms and condtons of the berth polcy, and the requrement to undertake dutes. Ths category carres votng rghts (one vote per membershp), enttlement to a berth, subject to the terms and condtons of the berth polcy, and the requrement for actve salng members to undertake dutes. Student Membershp s for bona fde students who are n full tme educaton between the ages of 18 and 23, whose famly are not members. Ths category provdes full salng and socal rghts, carres votng rghts, enttlement to a berth, subject to the terms and condtons of the berth polcy, and the requrement to undertake dutes. Sngle Crew Membershp enttles the member (over 18 years of age) to crew wth a member enttled to vote. Ths category carres socal rghts, votng rghts, helmng n races where authorsed, no berthng rghts but does requre dutes to be undertaken. It also provdes socal rghts to a named partner and ther chldren. Restrcted Famly Membershp s open to famles wth junor salors under the age of 18 whose parents/guardans do not ntend to sal. All such chldren are enttled to helm durng club supervsed tranng and to crew for others outsde these perods. Ths category carres socal rghts, but no votng or berthng rghts and no enttlement to brng a boat to the Club. Ths category s also used for those under 18 attendng Club RYA tranng courses. Youth Famly Membershp s open to famles wth salors under the age of 18 whose parents/guardans do not ntend to sal. Ths category ncludes full salng and socal rghts for the chldren, socal rghts for ther parents/guardans and the rght to brng one boat per chld to the Club. Ths category also ncludes enttlement to a berth per boat f avalable at the normal fee, subject to the terms and condtons of the berth polcy, and the requrement for adult members to undertake dutes. It does not nclude votng rghts. Tranng Membershp s for adults partcpatng n RYA tranng courses run by the Club and provdes salng and socal rghts to the adult undertakng the course and socal rghts to a named partner and ther chldren for the remander of the membershp year. The category carres no votng or berthng rghts and no enttlement to brng a boat to the Club. There s no entrance fee and the membershp fee s ncluded n the course fee. If the member wshes to upgrade to another membershp category for the followng membershp year then an entrance fee wll be payable. Out of Port Membershp s avalable at the General Commttee s dscreton for people who are members of the Club, however are unable to attend the club for the year(s) n queston (maybe moved away) and FPSC Handbook , Edton 4 (August 19, 2017) Rules 8 3

Salor Membershp shall be open to any person wth a dsablty. Ths wll provde salng rghts for the member when usng dnghes owned by FPS, socal rghts to FPS and FPSC for the member and hs or her mmedate famly and/or partner and/or carer, no enttlement to vote or oblgaton to undertake dutes. Helper Membershp shall be open to persons actvely offerng ther help and expertse to Salablty. Ths wll provde salng rghts for the member when usng dnghes owned by FPS, socal rghts to FPS and FPSC for the member and hs or her mmedate famly and/or partner, no enttlement to vote or oblgaton to undertake dutes. Group Membershp s for groups and schools. They pay ether: one Md-Week fee and one berthng fee per boat for Md-Week Membershp whch s for salng on the Pond from Monday to Frday nclusve, excludng Publc holdays; or one Full Famly membershp fee and one berthng fee per boat makng ths membershp avalable throughout the year. When schools are usng the facltes of the Club, pupls must be under the supervson of a salng nstructor. Both varants of ths membershp carry no votng rghts and no requrement to undertake dutes. Md-Week Membershp provdes full salng rghts from Monday to Frday, excludng Publc Holdays, for two named adults resdng at the same address, together wth chldren up to the age of 18, and/or bona fde students from 18 to 23, to whom they are parent or guardan. Ths membershp carres lmted berthng rghts but no votng rghts. Wnter Membershp s avalable for the Wnter season, from the end of October to the end of March. It provdes full salng and socal rghts for helm, crew and chldren and one berth. Addtonal berths wll be charged at the approprate berthng fee. There s no jonng fee and no votng rghts. Dutes are at the dscreton of the Class Captan. Assocate Membershp s avalable at the General Commttee s dscreton for people who have been notably actve members of the club for at least 3 years. Ths category provdes socal rghts, ncludng a named partner, and a requrement to undertake dutes, or otherwse contrbute to the Club, so long as they are able to do so. Ths category carres no enttlement to salng or berthng rghts, and no votng rghts. 5 xv xv Ths category carres full salng and socal rghts, and sngle votng rghts. However, there s no membershp fee and no requrement to undertake dutes. Honorary Membershp s for people who have brought honour to the Club, e.g. won Natonal or World Champonshps, and for other persons at the dscreton of the General Commttee. Honorary Membershp may be revewed by the General Commttee at any tme. Ths category carres no requrements to undertake dutes and no votng rghts. Honorary Members who sal at the Club on a regular bass wll be requred to take out the approprate membershp, whch would nclude the rghts and oblgatons of that membershp category. Model Yacht Membershp provdes the rght to sal rado-controlled model yachts plus socal rghts for two named adults resdng at the same address, together wth chldren up to the age of 18, and/or bona fde students aged from 18 to 23 to whom they are parent or guardan. Ths category of membershp has no jonng fee or votng rghts. 6 Annual Subscrpton, Berthng and Entrance Fees v v v Changes to the annual subscrpton, entrance fees and berthng fees shall be agreed by the members at a General Meetng. The current subscrptons and fees are as shown n an Appendx to these Rules whch s avalable from the Honorary Membershp Secretary. An Entrance fee may be payable by Full Famly, Full, Md-Week, Sngle Crew, Retred and Group membershp categores. The General Commttee may requre the approprate entrance fee to be pad when changng between membershp categores. Frst subscrptons are payable n full upon applcaton for membershp. In the case of electon on or after the 1st May n any year the frst membershp subscrpton shall be reduced n accordance wth agreed scales. The electon of any new member falng to pay hs frst subscrpton wthn one month wll be consdered vod. All annual subscrptons are payable on the 1st November n each year and shall be payable to Frensham Pond Salng Club. Members may change from one membershp category to another, subject to the sancton of the General Commttee, who may requre such members to pay the balance of the change n membershp fees on a pro-rata bass. Members wshng to change ther class of boat or sal addtonal boat(s) or salboard(s) at the Club must get the General Commttee s pror agreement. FPSC Handbook , Edton 4 (August 19, 2017) Rules 8 5

6 v Reduced subscrptons may be made avalable for those who are unemployed or not n full tme work on applcaton to the Membershp Secretary and at the dscreton of two of the three flag offcers. 7 Non-payment of Renewal Subscrptons [The changes n Rule 7 ndcated by the strkeout are subject to approval by Waverley Borough Councl.] Members whose subscrptons are not pad by the 1st December 8th November shall be notfed n wrtng by the Honorary Membershp Secretary and ther subscrpton may be subject to a late payment fee. The name of a member whose subscrpton s n arrears on the 14th December November may be posted on the Club notce board and the member ceases to be enttled to use the clubhouse or enjoy any of the prvleges of the Club as long as the subscrpton remans n arrears. If a membershp subscrpton s not pad by the 31st December 30th November n the year t s due, the membershp ceases to be vald. The General Commttee may wave, vary or suspend ths provson at ts dscreton. It may also renstate membershp f t consders an explanaton of crcumstances s satsfactory and provded all arrears are duly pad. 8 Retrement from Membershp A member may retre from membershp at any tme by gvng notce n wrtng to the Honorary Membershp Secretary. The notce wll be effectve at the end of the membershp year. Subscrptons already pad wll not be refunded. Any member retrng from membershp of the Club wthout havng pad hs subscrpton for the then current year remans lable for that subscrpton. 9 Expulson of Members Any refusal or neglect to comply wth these Rules or By-laws, or any conduct unworthy of a member or prejudcal to the nterests of the Club, renders a member lable to expulson by a resoluton at a General Commttee meetng. At least one week before such meetng the member concerned must be gven wrtten notce of the meetng and of the allegatons made aganst them and of the ntended resoluton of ther expulson. At the meetng, before the passng of the resoluton, the member must be gven an opportunty to explan or defend ther poston ether orally or n wrtng. FPSC Handbook , Edton 4 (August 19, 2017) Rules 8 6

7 v v A member expelled under ths Rule may appeal to the next General Meetng of the Club, but ther rghts reman suspended untl such meetng. A member expelled under ths Rule forfets all rghts n and clams upon the Club and ts property. 10 Guests & Vstors v v v 11 Offcers Members may ntroduce vstors to the Club as guests, subject to the Club Rules, By-laws and Salng Instructons. No more than three adult guests and ther partner and chldren shall be ntroduced n any one day by one member. The same guest shall not be ntroduced more than three tmes n a calendar year. Members shall enter the names of all guests n the vstors book, kept n the clubhouse. The member wll be held responsble for labltes ncurred by such guests and shall reman on the Club premses whle such guests are present. Members guests ntendng to make frequent use of the Club facltes must apply for the approprate membershp. Vstors who are members of R.Y.A. recognsed clubs and ther supporters, and vstng on the nvtaton of Frensham Pond Salng Club, are enttled to the prvleges of membershp of the Club durng the perod of the events for whch they are nvted, provded that such events are connected wth the Club as a Salng Club. The General Commttee may make arrangements wth any organsaton nterested n salng, for the admsson of any number of persons to the facltes of the Club. Such admssons wll be subject to such condtons and upon such terms as to categores and subscrptons as the General Commttee shall decde. The Offcers of the Club shall consst of: Commodore, Vce Commodore and a Rear Commodore, each of whom s a Flag Offcer, an Honorary Treasurer, Honorary General Secretary, Honorary Membershp Secretary and Honorary Salng Secretary. All Offcers must be Club members. The respectve dutes of the Offcers of the Club shall be defned by the General Commttee. The Flag Offcers of the Club shall be ex offco members of all commttees and sub-commttees. 12 General Commttee All the affars of the Club shall be managed (except as otherwse provded for n these Rules) by the members of the General Commttee, FPSC Handbook , Edton 4 (August 19, 2017) Rules 8 7

8 v v 13 Commttees whch shall consst of the current Offcers and sx members of the Club enttled to vote, who shall be elected under Rule 15, plus the Club Tranng Prncpal, Salablty Charman and one member of Waverley Borough Councl nomnated by the Borough Councl. All General Commttee Members, (except the Borough Councllor) any Presdent and any Vce-Presdents wll be members of Frensham Pond Salng Club Ltd. (herenafter referred to as the Company) and shall operate t n the best nterests of the Club. Waverley Borough Councl shall have the rght to appont ts representatve ether to act as a Drector of the Club, or to act as an observer at General Commttee Meetngs. Other than the Offcers of the Club as specfed n Rule 11 () the members may propose for electon at the Annual General Meetng one deputy General Commttee member for each of the sx members elected under 12 (). However only one representatve of each par may vote at each General Commttee meetng. The General Commttee shall have power to fll vacances occurrng n ts body, (other than a vacancy arsng from the resgnaton or demse of the Borough Councllor), ncludng any Offcers of the Club, durng ts year of offce, and to co-opt not more than two members of the Club to serve on the General Commttee. General Commttee Meetngs wll be held as requred. They shall be convened by the Honorary General Secretary who shall gve notce to all the Commttee Members. All questons shall be decded by a smple majorty of those present and votng. The Senor Flag Offcer present shall take the char and shall have a castng vote n the event of an equal dvson. Fve shall form a quorum. The General Commttee shall appont a Race Commttee, Tranng Commttee, Ktchen Commttee, Socal Commttee, Safety Commttee and Bar Commttee and such other Commttees as are requred, and may from tme to tme vary ther composton and vary ther powers and dutes. The General Commttee shall determne the terms of reference of all commttees and sub-commttees. Commttees shall make ther own regulatons for meetngs and procedures, and these shall be agreed by the General Commttee. No such commttee shall, (unless otherwse agreed by the Borough Councl) have delegated powers n respect of management, nterpretaton of Club Rules, or power to reject an applcaton for membershp. 9 14 General Meetngs of Members v v The Annual General Meetng of members shall be held as soon as possble n the three months followng the annual accountng date n each year. Ths s for the purposes of approvng the accounts made up to 31st October, electng Offcers and members of the General Commttee, for the perod up to the date of the next Annual General Meetng and for transactng any other necessary busness. Addtonal General Meetngs may be called at any tme by the General Commttee or at the request of ten members enttled to vote. Notce of every General Meetng shall be sent by the Honorary General Secretary to every member of the Club at ther recorded address, fourteen days pror to the meetng. At every General Meetng the Senor Flag Offcer present shall take the char. If no Flag Offcer s present a charman shall be elected from the other members of the General Commttee present, and falng an electon of a General Commttee member, an electon from the members themselves. Twenty-one members enttled to vote shall be a quorum for General Meetngs. All decsons (except rule changes, see Rule 3()) at General Meetngs shall be made by resolutons of a smple majorty of the members enttled to vote, who are present and exercse ther vote. No other persons shall be enttled to vote. Every member enttled to vote shall have one vote and n the event of an equal dvson, the Charman shall have a castng vote. 15 Electon of Offcers, General Commttee & Audtor v The Offcers of the Club, Members of the General Commttee (other than the Tranng Prncpal and Borough Councllor) and the Audtor, must retre and be elected at each Annual General Meetng (ths perod, typcally a year, s defned as the appontment perod), but each may be elgble for re-electon. No Flag Offcer can serve for more than three consecutve appontment perods, n the same rank, and cannot be re-elected to a lower rank wthout a break of at least one appontment perod. No General Commttee Member can serve for more than three consecutve appontment perods wthout a break of at least one perod. Flag Offcers and General Commttee Members can be elected as the Presdent, Honorary Treasurer, the Honorary General Secretary, the Honorary Membershp Secretary or the Honorary Salng Secretary wthout a break n servce. 10 v v 16 Presdent The Honorary Treasurer, the Honorary General Secretary, the Honorary Membershp Secretary, the Salablty Charman, the Tranng Prncpal and the Honorary Salng Secretary can serve as General Commttee Members for more than three years. Any canddate for electon or re-electon shall only be elgble f ther name has been submtted n wrtng to the Honorary General Secretary by two members of the Club enttled to vote, at least seven days before such Annual General Meetng. The Club n General Meetng may at any tme elect any offcer or exoffcer of the Club to be Presdent or Vce-Presdent for lfe or for such other perod as may be specfed. Such appontment shall take effect mmedately and shall nclude wth ther partner, full membershp of the Club. Any Presdent shall not take part n the management of the Club, nor serve as a member of the General Commttee or any Commttees unless elected or co-opted to such Commttees at an Annual General Meetng n accordance wth Rule Club Property and Assets The property of the Club shall be under the control of the General Commttee and shall be vested n such Offcers of the Club as the General Commttee shall decde. The General Commttee shall have full power on behalf of the Club to acqure (n ther names or n the names of any of them) such property and rghts and subject to such labltes, and to enter nto such agreements, deeds and arrangements as the General Commttee shall thnk requste for the purpose of furtherng the ams of the Club and of carryng on ts actvtes. The members of the Club for the tme beng shall ndemnfy such persons as may duly enter nto any contractual oblgatons n pursuance of ths Rule provded that no such oblgatons shall be entered nto wthout the prevous sancton of a resoluton passed at a General Meetng of the Club f t appears to the General Commttee that the oblgatons would be lkely to nvolve the members (on the bass of contnued membershp) n fnancal labltes beyond the payment of ther due subscrptons. The Club members shall fully ndemnfy and keep fully ndemnfed any person who, wth the sancton of the General Commttee actng under ts powers specfed at rule 17() above, enters nto any contractual oblgaton pursuant to rule 17(), n respect of any losses or labltes whch any such person may ncur as a result of enterng nto such a contractual oblgaton. 11 v v The Funds of the Club shall be kept by the Honorary Treasurer n such manner as may be determned by the General Commttee. The General Commttee shall have power to spend the Club s funds n such manner as they thnk ft n accordance wth these Rules and the ams of the Club. In the event of the actvtes of the Club ceasng permanently, pursuant to the provsons of these Rules, the members of the Club enttled to vote at the tme of such cessaton, shall be fully responsble n equal proportons for all the labltes of the Club. 18 Bar Admnstraton v v The Club, under the control of the General Commttee, s lcensed to purchase and sell ntoxcatng lquor, to Club members and guests for bona fde purposes connected wth the Club as a Salng Club. No person under the age of 18 shall be suppled wth or shall be nvolved n the purchase or supply of ntoxcatng lquor, for consumpton on or off the premses. The Bar Sub-Commttee shall consst of a member of the General Commttee and two elected members of the Club who shall be responsble for the admnstraton, stockng and accountng of the bar. No member shall take a commsson, percentage or other such payment n connecton wth the purchase of excsable goods for the Club. Any proft dervng from the sale of such goods shall (after deducton of the costs of provdng such goods for the beneft of the Club) be appled to the provson of addtonal amentes for the beneft of the Club. The permtted hours for the sale of ntoxcatng lquor are as follows: a b c d Monday to Saturday, except Good Frday and Chrstmas Day: 10.30am to 11.00pm Sunday, except Chrstmas Day: 12 noon to 10.30pm Good Frday: 12 noon to 10:30pm Chrstmas Day: 12 noon to 3.00pm and 7.00pm to 10.30pm and the bar wll be open at these hours as may be decded by the General Commttee subject to any restrctons mposed from tme to tme by the Lcensng Justces. 12 20 Enjoyment of Facltes Nothng n these Rules or the Club By-laws shall authorse or purport to authorse any Commttee, Sub-Commttee, Offcer or member to do any act or cause any other person to do any act or to restran any person from enjoyng any facltes or prvleges n contradcton to the Covenants and Stpulatons contaned n the Second Schedule of the Lease and Lcence dated 5th June 1964 between Hambledon Rural Dstrct Councl and the Company, as amended by the agreement between Waverley Dstrct Councl and the Company dated January 1978 and subsequent amendments. 21 Dssoluton If at any General Meetng of the Club, a resoluton be passed callng for the dssoluton of the Club, the Honorary General Secretary shall mmedately convene an Addtonal General Meetng of the Club to be held not less than one month thereafter to dscuss and vote on the resoluton. If, at the Addtonal General Meetng, the resoluton s carred by at least two thrds of the members present at the Meetng who are enttled to vote, the General Commttee shall thereupon, or at such a date as shall have been specfed n the resoluton, proceed to realse the assets of the Club and dscharge all debts and labltes of the Club. After settlng all labltes of the Club, the Commttee shall dspose of the net assets remanng to one or more of the followng: a b c to another Club wth smlar sports purposes whch s a regstered charty and/or to another Club wth smlar sports purposes whch s a regstered CASC and/or to the Club s governng body for use by them for related communty sports. 13 By-laws of Frensham Pond Salng Club Revsed August USE OF CLUB FACILITIES a) Berthng () Boats may be stored on Club premses only n an authorsed berth. () Berths are offered at the dscreton of the General Commttee and are assgned to Members n accordance wth the Club s publshed Berthng Polcy that s regularly revewed by the General Commttee. () Members are responsble for keepng ther berths tdy. (v) Members whose boats are kept at the Club shall dsplay on ther launchng trolley an dentfcaton tag ssued by the Membershp Secretary such that t s clearly vsble at the bow of the boat when the boat s cover s on. Members shall attach the tag to the trolley wthn 6 weeks of the tag beng ssued. (v) Should an assgned berthng place not be renewed by the Club (n accordance wth the Club s publshed Berthng Polcy) or a Member s berthng fees become two months n arrears, the Member shall remove ther boat from the Club premses. (v) If a Member leaves a boat on Club premses wthout permsson, the Club may a) move the boat to any other part of the Club premses wthout beng lable for loss or damage to the boat however caused, and b) upon the expry of a month s notce to the Member at ther last address notfed to the Club, EITHER sell the boat and deduct any mones due to the Club from the net proceeds of the sale, accountng to the Member for the balance OR may dspose of the boat n any manner the Club thnks ft and recover the expenses from the Member. b) Launchng () Boats may be saled only by Members wth salng rghts or by the authorsed guests of such Members. () Boats are allowed on the water only between sunrse and sunset. () Boats may be launched only from the Club launchng ramps and must not land elsewhere around the Pond except n emergences. 14 (v) Boats must not be ted up and left unattended on the launchng ramp sde of a jetty, and they may not be left permanently moored to any jetty, or on the Pond. c) Other actvtes () Bathng, paddlng and fshng are not permtted from the Club premses. () BBQs should not be lt close to the clubhouse, other buldngs, or under the awnng. () Smokng s not permtted wthn any of the Club s buldngs. (v) Flyng of model arcraft s not permtted from the Club premses unless commssoned by General Commttee. d) Dogs and other anmals () Wth the excepton for Assstance/Gude dogs, no anmals are permtted n the clubhouse. () Dog owners and/or dog walkers are to keep ther dog on a lead at all tmes whlst wthn the grounds of the Club unless the dog s kept n a vehcle. () Dogs should never be left unattended whlst wthn the grounds of the Club, unless n a vehcle. (v) Dogs must not to be tethered to any object wthn the grounds of the Club. (v) Dog owners and/or dog walkers, when wthn the grounds of the Club, are expected to remove, and safely dspose of, any dog foulng caused by ther dog. e) Car Park and man gate () Parkng n the Club car park durng the hours of darkness s prohbted except durng bona fde actvtes connected wth the Club. () The man gate to the car park and Club premses shall be kept locked at all tmes, except when organsed Club racng or other Club organsed actvtes are takng place. f) Accommodaton () Caravans and tents are not permtted on Club premses. g) Tralers () Ideally tralers should be removed from the Club premses,for securty and safety purposes. However, only tralers securely mmoblsed and contaned wthn the confnes of the Member s assgned berth may be left on the premses and the wdth of the traler must not be so wde as to prohbt access to any boat stored n an adjacent berth. 15 () If any part of the traler extends beyond the berth area nto the car park, paths or other publc walkways or communal areas then the Club wll contact the Member to request mmedate removal of the traler. () If a traler s stored n such a way that could gve rse to accdent or njury to members, vstors or thrd partes or ther possessons, then the Club may, at ts sole dscreton, remove the traler to a place of safety wthout pror permsson from the Member. (v) The Club reserves the rght to dspose of tralers left elsewhere on the premses. (v) Ths by-law s lmted to sngle boat road base tralers and the storage of any other traler, such as box tralers or double tralers s prohbted, unless prevously approved by the General Commttee. h) Masts () Masts must only be stored n or on a boat or n racks desgned for the purpose of storage. () Masts must not be stored so that they protrude nto the car park, paths or other publc walkways or communal areas. In these crcumstances the Club reserves the rght to contact the Member to request mmedate removal of the mast. () If a mast s stored n such a way that could gve rse to accdent or njury to Members, vstors or thrd partes or ther possessons, then the Club may at ts sole dscreton, remove the mast to a place of safety wthout permsson from the Member. (v) The Club reserves the rght to dspose of masts left elsewhere on the premses. ) Members Property () The Club wll not be responsble for loss or damage to Members property. () The Club reserves the rght to dspose of clothes and other artcles left on the Club premses for more than one month. j) Dutes () To ensure the effectve admnstraton and operaton of the Club and dependng on ther membershp category, Members shall, from tme to tme, carry out race and other dutes. 16 k) Abusve or Threatenng Behavour and Foul Language Polcy () All Members are asked to report any ncdents of ths nature to the Race Offcer, Duty Offcer, and any Flag Offcer or to the Salng Secretary as soon as possble. If the ncdent nvolves chldren under 18 or vulnerable adults, the Club s Chld Protecton and Vulnerable Adult Offcer also needs to be nformed. () A protest can be brought on ths matter by any person under the World Salng rules whether they are a compettor or not, but n the frst nstance exceptng n cases of gross nfrngement, we would prefer to deal wth the matter nformally f possble. () The full enforcement procedures to be followed under ths bylaw may be obtaned from the Honorary General Secretary or by vewng the by-law on the Club webste. l) Management of Persstent Non Attendance of Club Dutes Polcy. () It s part of the condtons of membershp of Frensham Pond Salng Club that all adult Members, unless exempt, perform on a rota bass ether race management or safety boat dutes; ths ensures the smooth runnng of the Club. () Some Members persstently fal to attend to do ther dutes and s unfar on other Members and could lead to the cancellaton of Club salng. () The full enforcement procedures to be followed under ths bylaw may be obtaned from the Honorary General Secretary or by vewng the by-law on the Club webste. m) Televson Usage A televson s provded for the enjoyment of the membershp and may be used durng the openng tmes of the clubhouse. The followng condtons relate to the usage of the televson: () The televson operatng nstructons are to be strctly followed for the turnng on and off of the televson set, selecton of channel, volume control, colour, brghtness and other pcture adjustment controls. () No meda, such as a dvd/blu-ray player, game console, dgtal camera or vdeo devce, may be attached to the televson wthout the permsson of the Duty Offcer or unless such devce s to be used n a coachng sesson. () The vewer should select a channel that s sutable takng nto account the age of the audence and ensure that approprate entertanment s screened at all tmes wth content that s not lkely to offend any Member or vstor. 17 (v) Partcular care shall be gven to the vewng content when chldren are present. (v) An adult, and preferably a parent, shall be present when a chld s watchng televson. It s recommended that a chld s vewng tme s restrcted to a maxmum of two hours. (v) The audo volume shall be set to a level that can be reasonably heard by a person wth standard hearng. The volume s not to be ncreased to a level that could gve dstracton or dscomfort to other users of the clubhouse. (v) The last person n the clubhouse shall ensure that the televson s turned off and that the remote control s stored safely n the vcnty of the televson set. 2. SAILING and RACING a) Non-swmmers and Buoyancy ads () All chldren are requred to wear buoyancy ads at all tmes whlst near or on the water. Adults are advsed to do the same. b) Permtted Boats () Salng dnghes over 16 foot n length and Catamarans are barred from the Pond. Rowng boats, canoes and nflatable rubber dnghes cannot be used on the Pond. () Only those boats declared and approved by the General Commttee may be saled. () All boat owners must hold thrd party Insurance cover of at least 2,000,000 for every boat. c) Salng () Those not nvolved n a race should respect the racers and keep to those areas of the pond where they wll not nterfere wth any compettors. () Each Member must understand and accept as ther responsblty the rsks assocated wth Blue-Green Algae that may be evdent n Frensham Great Pond. Water qualty s montored regularly by the Waverley Borough Councl and the results are avalable on ther webste. d) Racng () Club and Class requrements for racng and boat buoyancy must be observed. Race Offcers are empowered to refuse entres from or dsqualfy compettors who do not comply. 18 3. GENERAL a) Salng s by ts nature an unpredctable sport and therefore nherently nvolves an element of rsk. By takng part n salng, each member agrees and acknowledges that: () they are aware of the nherent element of rsk nvolved n the sport and accept responsblty for the exposure of themselves, ther crew and ther boat to such nherent rsk whlst takng part; () they are responsble for the safety of themselves, ther crew, ther boat and ther other property whether afloat or ashore; () they accept responsblty for any njury, damage or loss to the extent caused by ther own actons or omssons; (v) ther boat s n good order, equpped to sal and they are ft to partcpate; (v) the provson of a race management team, tranng organsers, patrol boats and other offcals and volunteers by the organser does not releve them of ther own responsbltes; (v) the provson of patrol boat cover s lmted to such assstance, partcularly n extreme weather condtons, as can be practcally provded n the crcumstances; (v) t s ther responsblty to famlarse themselves wth any rsks specfc to ths venue and to attend any safety brefng held at the venue. b) () Each Member accepts full responsblty for any of ther guests, chldren or other persons permtted by them to sal or be on Club premses; and agrees to ndemnfy the Club aganst any clam by any of ther guests. () The Club provdes some safety facltes durng the hours of Club organsed salng. On all other occasons each Member accepts that such facltes are not provded.
