14 We Can End AIDS Mobilization for Economic Justice and Human Rights PROMOTE AND RESOURCE SOUND POLICIES Branch July 24, 11:30am 2:30pm This mobilization is supported by over 50 HIV/AIDS advocacy and service organizations as part of the many activities at the International AIDS Conference and will take place on Tuesday, July 24 during our lobby day. For those who want to take part in the march, participants will meet near the Archives Metro station and U.S. Navy Memorial in DC at 12:00 pm and then walking to Lafayette Park in front of the White House. (There will be a pre-concert at 11:30 at Archives with a band and guest speaker, African musician, Yvonne Chaka Chaka). This branch of the mobilization will meet with four other branches at 1:00 pm in front of the White House where there will be a program of speakers and other activities. The event should end by 2:30 or 3:00 pm. RESULTS HILL DAY MEETING LOCATION RESULTS members on Capitol Hill can meet at a nearby church and board busses to the mobilization. Lutheran Church of the Reformation (Parish Hall) 212 East Capitol Street, NE Washington, DC Two 24 passenger vans will be picking up at the church and driving to meet the mobilization at the National Archives (where the Sound Policy branch of the mobilization starts) and then later it will catch up with the mobilization at the White House. They will make three trips to drop people off. BU.S. SCHEDULE TO MOBILIZATION: Buses will leave the church at 11:30am, 11:50am, and 12:20pm.
