Be safe outdoors and drink Plenty of liquids so you stay hydrated on fieldtrips. The SFMS had lots of fun in Georgia the first Friday and Saturday this month. We had a great Cracker Barrel meeting Friday night and the SFMS Quarterly meeting Saturday went very smoothly. After the meeting we all went over to the picnic and auction that was hosted by the Georgia Mineral Society. We felt very welcome, a great big family of rockhounds. I would like to thank Shelley Stubbs the President of GMS and Dennis Buchanan the SFMS Liaison for all their hard work planning all the details for the SFMS meeting and our hotel arrangements, which were superb. A good time was had by all that attended and most of us Took home some new rocks and equipment from the 200 plus item auction. Thank y all for the great food and fun auction. Collis and I went to visit William Holland Workshop Sunday the 5 th thru Wednesday the 8 th. I wish we had the time to stay all week; everyone was having such a great time. It was nice to see a lot of familiar faces. The SFMS first quarterly was held in Jackson, MS and there were 6 club members at William Holland SFMS week taking classes. Other states represented FL, TN, GA, SC, NC and VA. The SFMS workshops has more classes: at Wildacres in August and September. For info sfmsworkshops.com. Come join in on the fun attend a SFMS workshop. See you in the mountains If your club needs any help from the SFMS, please feel free to contact me at Or if your club has a question, I am here to help antleycreations@yahoo.com
