1 JULY 16, 2018 COMMISSIONER PROCEEDINGS GRANT, NEBRASKA The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Perkins County, Nebraska, was held at 8:30 a.m. in the County Courthouse in Grant, Nebraska. Present: Commissioners Sid Colson, Bernard Deaver, Steve Tucker, County Attorney Richard Roberts, and Clerk Rita Long. Chairman Colson called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. It was announced that notice of this meeting had been published in the Grant Tribune-Sentinel on July 11, Chairman announced the location of the Open Meetings Act Poster in the Commissioner s Room. Commissioner Deaver made the motion to approve the minutes of July 2, 2018, meeting as published in the Grant Tribune-Sentinel. Commissioner Tucker seconded, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. The agenda was reviewed. Motion was made by Commissioner Tucker to approve the continuing agenda, seconded by Commissioner Deaver, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Deaver to approve the claims except the Ride Rite and Matt Deaver claims seconded by Commissioner Tucker, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Tucker to approve the Ride Rite and Matt Deaver claims, seconded by Commissioner Colson, roll call vote, Deaver, abstain, Tucker yes, Colson, yes, 2 ayes, 1 abstain, motion carried. 8:40 a.m. Opened Public Forum and closed a 9:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. Don Softley was present to discuss the additional change orders for the new transfer ambulance.

5 Commissioner Deaver moved to approve the change orders for the new transfer ambulance on order totaling $45, Commissioner Tucker seconded the motion, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. Unfinished Business: Budget was discussed. New Business: Personnel was not discussed. Commissioner Deaver moved to use the vault in the Assessor office as the server room. Commissioner Tucker seconded the motion, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. Commissioner Tucker moved to have Chairman Colson sign the Annual Certification of Highway Allocations funds Form for Commissioner Deaver seconded the motion, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. The Board heard reports from County Clerk Rita Long, Debbie Keunning with the Extension Office, Highway/Noxious Weed Superintendent Mike Dolezal, Building and Grounds Rick Ochsner, Sheriff Jim Brueggeman, Zoning Administrator/Transfer Ambulance Bob Tatum, Veteran s Service Officer Stephanie Larson and Treasurer Julie Sestak. The Clerk s and Public Transit monthly fee reports were submitted. Extension agent discussed wages for their office. Julie Sestak requested transfer of funds. Commissioner Tucker moved to adopt Resolution to transfer from County General Fund to County Road, Commissioner Deaver seconded, roll call vote, 3 ayes, Resolution Adopted. 9:59 a.m. Chairman recessed the meeting 10:30 a.m. The meeting was reconvened The next regular meeting will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018, at the Perkins County Courthouse in Grant, Nebraska. 10:31 a.m. Commissioner Deaver made the motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Commissioner Tucker, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried.
