1 NOVEMBER 19, 2018 COMMISSIONER PROCEEDINGS GRANT, NEBRASKA The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Perkins County, Nebraska, was held at 8:30 a.m. in the County Courthouse in Grant, Nebraska. Present: Commissioners Sid Colson, Bernard Deaver, Steve Tucker, County Attorney Richard Roberts, and Clerk Rita Long. Chairman Colson called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. It was announced that notice of this meeting had been published in the Grant Tribune-Sentinel on November 14, Chairman announced the location of the Open Meetings Act Poster in the Commissioner s Room. Commissioner Deaver made the motion to approve the minutes of November 5, 2018, with correction of, the next meeting date to November 19, as published in the Grant Tribune- Sentinel. Commissioner Tucker seconded, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. The agenda was reviewed. Motion was made by Commissioner Tucker to approve the continuing agenda with date change, seconded by Commissioner Deaver, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. 8:40 a.m. Opened Public Forum and closed a 9:30 a.m. Correspondence was read Unfinished Business: The Resolution for the Fairboard to open a petty cash in the premium account will be forwarded to a future agenda. New Business: Commissioner Deaver moved to approve and have the Chairman sign the Certification of County Highway Superintendent for Determining Incentive Payment. Commissioner Tucker seconded the motion, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Deaver to approve Scott Knoles as the new hire for Road District 1, starting Monday November 26, seconded by Commissioner Tucker, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. Commissioner Tucker moved to authorize County Attorney Richard Roberts to foreclose on the delinquent tax sale certificates. Commissioner Deaver seconded the motion, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried. The Board heard reports from Sheriff Jim Brueggeman, Custodian Rick Ochsner, Highway/Noxious Weed Superintendent Mike Dolezal, Zoning Administrator/Transfer Ambulance Bob Tatum, and Treasurer Julie Sestak. Julie Sestak requested transfer of funds. Commissioner Tucker moved to adopt Resolution to transfer Funds from Local Ambulance to the Ambulance Sinking Fund, Commissioner Deaver seconded, roll call vote, 3 ayes, Resolution Adopted. The next regular meeting will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018, at the Perkins County Courthouse in Grant, Nebraska. 9:34 a.m. Commissioner Tucker made the motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Commissioner Deaver, roll call vote, 3 ayes, motion carried.
