1 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME 2013 European Social Dialogue

2 Dear Friends, We are pleased to be able to present you with our 2013 Education Programme. We will organise 60 projects in total, in collaboration with our connected centres in 23 countries and cordially invite you, as workers representatives, to attend. The alarming situation regarding the labour market in many countries means that our workers organisations are directing their attention towards the EU employment package and the question of how they can be used in the three future sectors of the green economy, the health and welfare sector and communications technologies for more, but better jobs. This was the driving force behind the EZA s organising a range of seminars relating to the Europe 2020 strategy. The financial and economic crisis has imposed new challenges on workers organisations everywhere in Europe. Creating a new self-image, positions and strategies is, therefore, one of the explicit objectives of the raft of seminars that is part of our 2013 education year. In times of crisis, the pressure on working conditions becomes even greater and workers representatives face the challenge of producing operating models for reconciling work and family life, which can withstand the changing framework conditions. Since its founding, European expansion and integration have been at the very heart of EZA. The special project, started in 2012, for workers organisations in the western Balkans will, therefore, be continued. Tackling youth unemployment (including by improving professional education systems), health and safety at work, flexicurity reforms in some countries and workers organisations approach to migrant workers are other themes included in our education programme for 2013, which also includes training courses for workers organisation executives. On the following page, you will find all the information relating to how to take part in a seminar, in terms of the project carrier, the seminar location and date, as well as the foreseeable conference languages. We would like to send you our electronic newsletter EZA News, which will keep you informed, four times a year, of what we are doing. You can order it directly via our website ( or by (goeden@eza.org). We are looking forward to an exciting year of education and hope to see you taking part!
