Attendees can register for the meeting and purchase an All-Access CLE Badge for a fee of $440*. This badge can be used for admittance to governance meetings, non-cle programs and ALL CLE programs at the Annual Meeting, including those in the Presidential CLE Centre and at the satellite hotels. Members whose primary focus at the Annual Meeting is governance, and who may only be able to attend a few CLE programs, can register for the Meeting for a fee of $165*, which includes admittance to all governance and non-cle programs, and purchase individual program tickets for $75 each. Discounted program tickets will be available to government lawyers and judges for $35. Law Student registrants will be admitted to all CLE programs at no additional charge. Admittance to each CLE program will require one individual program ticket OR the All-Access CLE Badge. 4 REGISTRATION AND HOTEL RESERVATIONS EARLY REGISTRATION To take advantage of the Early Bird Registration discount price of $440* (governance and Allaccess CLE Badge) or $165* (governance and non-cle), registration forms must be received by Experient by Thursday, May 31, Any registration forms received after May 31 will be processed at the regular registration fee of $570 or $295. * increases by $130 after May 31, 2007 TERMS AND CONDITIONS The ABA has appointed Experient (formerly International Travel Service (ITS)), a professional convention management company, as registrar for the 2007 Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Experient will be the only source for ABA Meeting Registration and Official ABA Housing. Please include your Experient I.D. number on all correspondence. HOTEL RESERVATIONS You must register for the 2007 ABA Annual Meeting to receive housing. A list of official ABA hotels, rates, amenities and locations can be found at Reservation requests should be directed only to Experient, using the attached ABA Registration Form or by registering online. Please indicate your first, second and third choice of hotel. If your preferred hotel choices are unavailable, Experient will be happy to place you on a wait list for one of your first two choices. Please call Experient at or send an message to aba@experient-inc.com stating your wish to be wait-listed. Wait-listed reservations will be confirmed as cancellations are received. Please include your Experient ID number in all correspondence. Experient will acknowledge your reservation request in writing within one week of receipt of your ABA registration form. Hotels will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Choice of accommodations will become more limited as the deadline for registration approaches. A credit card with a valid expiration date (August 31, 2007 or later) is required to guarantee your hotel reservation. If an invalid card is provided, we will not be able to reserve a hotel room for you. The hotel will charge a one night s room and tax to the credit card, which will be deducted from your total hotel bill upon check out. DEADLINES The deadline for advance registration and housing is Friday, July 6, 2007, 5:00 p.m., Central Daylight Saving Time. This is the absolute deadline that Experient can receive and process a registration form requesting housing. The registration form must be accompanied by a form of payment for the registration fee, in the form of a check, money order or credit card for registration and tickets only. (Credit cards for housing deposits will be charged at the time of booking.) This is also the absolute deadline that you can register for the Annual Meeting and appear in the Advance Registration List. After July 6, registrations will be accepted on site at the. Registration forms received by Experient after July 6 will be held and processed on site after August 1, and will not appear in the Advance Registration List. Hotel requests received at Experient after July 6 will not be accommodated. After the housing deadline, you must wait until after July 25 to make your reservation directly with the official ABA hotels or to change reservations made through Experient. Ticket requests received after July 6 will be held and processed, to the extent that tickets remain available, on site. HOUSING REFUND POLICY To cancel your reservation, prior to July 6, contact Experient by phone at , by fax at ; or by at aba@experient-inc.com. Hotel cancellations after July 6 must be directed to the hotel directly beginning July 25. If you are canceling your reservation directly with the hotel, all cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date. Failure to cancel prior to 72 hours or failure to check-in on the scheduled arrival date will result in forfeiture of the one night s room and tax charge. REGISTRATION CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY All requests for cancellations must be submitted in writing according to the procedures outlined below. Registration fees will be refunded, minus a $50 processing fee for cancellations, substitutions or transfers. Prior to July 6, cancellations must be sent in writing by mail to ABA/Experient, 108 Wilmot Road, P.O. Box 825, Deerfield, Illinois ; by fax to ; or by to aba@experient-inc.com. After July 6, all cancellation requests must be accompanied by an explanation for cancellation. These requests must be sent in writing by mail to the ABA Meetings and Travel Department, 321 North Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois 60610; by fax to ; or by to abamtgs@abanet.org. All requests for registration cancellations must be received by August 31, 2007 to receive a refund. There is no fee for cancelled guest registration(s). President s Reception tickets are refundable up to 72 hours in advance of the event. Unused CLE tickets are fully refundable until October 12, Unused CLE tickets, along with a request for a refund, must be sent to the ABA Meetings and Travel Department at the above address. No cash refunds will be made on-site in San Francisco. Credit card refunds will be processed immediately and may take up to two billing cycles to appear on your statement. Requests for cash or check refunds on-site at the Annual Meeting will be processed after the conclusion of the meeting.
