Legal Ethics: The Impaired Lawyer (approved for 1.0 hour of IL MCLE professionalism/ ethics credit) Lawyers and judges experience alcohol abuse, drug dependency, and mental health problems at higher rates than those who work in other professions. This session will discuss how the Illinois Lawyers Assistance Program respectfully and compassionately helps individuals get treatment and address problems, wherever possible, before they jeopardize a lawyer s practice or a judge s career. The Postal Service was hit hard by electronic diversion of mail and the recession, dramatically increasing the erosion rate of its revenue base. It now has too many buildings, too many employees for its mission and too little time to make the necessary changes under its collective bargaining agreements and existing laws. How should Congress and unions respond to this financial crisis and facilitate change in the way USPS provides service to the public? 8 General Information Program Location The conference will be held at Chicago-Kent College of Law, 565 West Adams Street in Chicago. Confirmation of Attendance A certificate of attendance will be provided at registration. Cancellations and Refunds Written notification of cancellation is required. A full tuition refund is available if notification is received prior to August 23, 2012; 25% will be charged if notification is received between August 23 and September 13, No refunds will be granted after September 13, If you register with a purchase order or a voucher and do not cancel your registration in accordance with this policy, you will be charged 25% of the registration fee. MCLE Credit Chicago-Kent College of Law is an accredited provider for IL & PA MCLE.
