BOARD HONORS Scrr ISD student-athlete Brandn LeMaster was recgnized fr winning the 2011 Texas Special Olympics Male Athlete f the Year Award. Cl. Jhn O. Ensr Middle Schl students were recgnized fr winning 1 st place in the 2011 Team Quest finals. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS Escntrias Elementary Schl faculty and administratin were recgnized fr being named a 2011 Natinal Blue Ribbn Schl. Members f the SISD Bnd Accuntability Cmmittee (BAC) were intrduced: Lupe Lujan, Claudia M. Garcia, Cynthia Ruelas, Frank J. Ortez Jr., Jse Luis Mra, David Taylr, Raymnd A. Llewellyn, David Ramirez, Dra Oaxaca, Linda Zavala, Kerry Mildn, Carls Marruf, Rbert Alvarez, and Artur Mrales. Cmmunity Schlars Executive Directr Sfia Larkin Appleby prvided a 2011 Cmmunity Schlars update. OPEN FORUM Gnzal Becerra, n behalf f Scrr Educatin Assciatin, presented the Bard f Trustees and Superintendent with a recgnitin representing their partnership during the successful passing f the 2011 Bnd. FACILITIES REPORT Tm Eyeingtn, Chief Operatins Officer, prvided a reprt n the status f Americas High Schl weight and training facility and 2009 hail damage rf repairs. In additin, Mr. Eyeingtn reprted that HDAC Grant representatives visited the District t review pertinent dcumentatin; and the 2011 Bnd cnstructin cntracts have been executed. ANNUAL INVESTMENT REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR Tny Reza, Chief Financial Officer, reprted that Plicy CDA (LOCAL), Other Revenues, Investments, requires that Administratin present this reprt. All the pertinent infrmatin frm the investment pls and Wells Farg has been received and reviewed. FINANCIAL INTEGRITY RATING SYSTEM OF TEXAS (FIRST) Mr. Reza reprted that the District s 2010 financial rating under the Financial Integrity Rating System f Texas (FIRST) is Superir Achievement. This reprt cvers the perid f Als, in the Financial Services website, infrmatin relative t the Superintendent s cntract and Bard f Trustees reimbursements is psted fr the public s review. At this time, the public was invited t cmment n the District s 2010 financial rating. There being n cmments, the Bard prceeded t the Cnsent Agenda. EL PASO COMMUNITY COLLEGE HEALTH CAREER DIVISION PROGRAMS AND COURSES MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING This item was pulled frm Cnsent Agenda fr discussin. This is a renewal f the affiliatin agreement t prvide EPCC students experience in a clinical setting. Mr. Baskind explained that cntract revisins t include prvisins fr criminal checks and retentin f gvernment immunity were pending; the Bard was asked t apprve the cntract pending revisins and final cntract frm EPCC. ORDER Larry Baskind, Schl District Attrney, presented an Order changing Electin Dates, changing Terms f Office fr Trustees, adjusting Trustee Terms and taking certain ther actin based n requirements f Senate Bill 100 fr the Bard s cnsideratin. Beginning with all electins held n r after January 1, 2012, members f the Bard f Trustees f the Schl District shall be elected t serve fur year terms. The Schl District hereby changes its electin date fr Bard f Trustees electins t the May Unifrm Electin Date f dd numbered years nly. And the terms f the members f the Bard f Trustees are adjusted in rder t make the necessary mdificatins due t the change in electin date. ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS Dr. De La Trre recmmended Brenda Chacn t assume all rles and respnsibilities as Principal at Huec Elementary Schl.
