Ntes Visas issued fr studies at a learning institutin, ther than a schl cntemplated in sectin 1 f the Suth African Schls Act, 1996 (Act N. 84 f 1996), shall be issued fr the duratin f the curse fr which the applicant has registered; Visas issued fr studies at a learning institutin, which is a schl cntemplated in sectin 1 f the Suth African Schls Act, 1996 (Act N. 84 f 1996), shall be valid fr the duratin f the perid f study: Prvided that the study visa issued fr studies at a primary schl shall nt exceed eight years and fr a secndary schl shall nt exceed six years. Hwever, any visa issued fr studies at all learning institutins t a learner wh is a dependent child f the hlder f a visa issued in terms f sectin 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 r 22 f the Act, shall NOT be issued lnger than the validity perid f the visa issued t the accmpanied parent r accmpanied hlder f the sectin 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 r 22 visa f the Act. In the case f a freign state accepting respnsibility fr the applicant in terms f a bilateral agreement: a. a written undertaking frm such freign state t pay fr the departure f the applicant. Prf f medical cver with a medical scheme registered in terms f the Medical Schemes Act, 1998 (Act N 131 f 1998). Prf f sufficient financial means. Prf f payment f the applicable fee Ntes: In respect f an applicatin by a persn wh is a learner under the age f 18 years and is a dependent child f the hlder f a visa issued in terms f sectin 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 r 22 f the Act, a certified cpy f such hlder's visa and a written undertaking by parents r legal guardian that the learner will have medical cver fr the full duratin f the perid f study shall be required. Where the learner is under the age f 18 years and is a dependent child f the hlder f a visa issued in terms f sectin 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 r 22 f the Act, there is n need fr a separate medical aid membership fr the applicant where prf exists that the learner is a registered dependent n a medical scheme f a hlder f a valid visa. If the applicant fr a study visa is the main applicant and is nt accmpanying a hlder f a valid visa issued in terms f sectin 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20 r 22 f the Act, then prf f medical cver renewed annually fr the perid f study with a medical scheme registered in terms f the Suth African Medical Schemes Act shall be required.
