Candidates wh have taken the July 2017 Califrnia Bar Examinatin wh are awaiting results in Nvember 2017 are strngly encuraged t apply. Qualified applicants may be ffered paid certified pst-bar psitins prir t receiving bar examinatin results. All candidates pending Califrnia Bar Examinatin results are expected t apply with the State Bar fr their pst-bar certificatin. This psitin requires the ability t d cmplex legal research, and t present cmplicated factual and legal issues clearly bth rally and in writing. Incumbents prepare and prsecute cases in Superir Curt as training prgresses; review evidence and advise law enfrcement fficers and cmplainants n law and criminal prceedings; interview cmplainants and witnesses t btain case infrmatin; prepare mtins, rders, and ther legal dcuments; and assist higher level prsecutrs in preparing and prsecuting Superir Curt criminal cases. SIGNIFICANT DUTIES Attend scheduled curt hearings such as arraignments, pretrial hearings and mtins, sentencing and prbatin revcatins Prepare and prsecute cases by presenting pening statements, interrgating and crss examining witnesses, intrducing evidence, making relevant bjectins, arguing bjectins, arguing pints f law, presenting clsing arguments and engaging in nging, meaningful settlement negtiatins
