Company updates WHAT: It is a meeting dedicated to issues and significant products for the company and designed to develop business opportunities. Lasts one hour. WHERE: A lounge equipped with desks for speakers, 30 seats and audio video services. 7 2017 SOI Wet lab WHAT: A room for a Wet Lab during the whole congress. Attendance to be organized by each company, after coordination with congress secretariat. WHERE: Fiera Milano City Congress Centre, room surface area 70 sqm. Rome Cavalieri Congress Centre, floor -1, room surface area 60 sqm. COMMUNICATION: The Wet lab programme will be published in the Congress website, in the events area, and in the Congress Guide. COST: 7,000 Euros each for the whole congress (n. 4 days, including setting up and dismantling) 5,000 Euros each for two days during the congress (including setting up and dismantling) The cost for room fittings and any technical service is not included. Two hours use for two days. Audiovisual technical services available upon request. WHERE: At the entrance of the exhibition area. COMMUNICATION: The logo of the company using the room at a given time is indicated at the entrance. Companies are allowed to add their corporate material inside the room. Congress participants appreciate the services provided and the opportunity to enjoy a reading break in a cosy environment. The scientific archive of SOI (monographs, volumes, publications) is available. At every congress, the room is equipped with: Internet point with n. 5 laptops fully connected, wired and tested. Coffee point, including n. 2 coffee machines (two cups simultaneously) and n. 3,000 pods. Sponsors may use this area for events reserved to their guests. WHERE: Strategic position in the exhibition area, along the mandatory path. COMMUNICATION: The area will be decorated with Congress brand identity and the Sponsor s brand. WHERE: The poster session is set in one of the best positions inside the exhibition area, in particular in the area next to the SOI Lounge. COMMUNICATION: Totem displays will bear the Congress Identity and the Sponsor s brand, if required. Ad hoc promotional messages can be added. 13 2017 SOI Gala dinner WHAT: To enhance its brand image at both national and international level, SOI organizes a Gala Dinner during its congresses. It is a very exclusive and glamorous social event that has become a pleasant much-awaited-for tradition. During the Gala Dinner some prestigious SOI prizes are awarded. For Sponsors, the Gala Dinner is a great opportunity to establish, develop and consolidate relationships and synergies. COMMUNICATION: The invitations and menus are personalized with the company logo. According to their contribution, sponsors are entitled to a specific number of invitations. During the event, the sponsors are officially acknowledged and thanked and may, if they wish, deliver speeches. 14 CONGRESSI MEDICI Exhibition It is the largest exhibition dedicated to the field of ophthalmology in Italy: Surgical and Diagnostic Equipments, Medications and Supplements, Intraocular lenses, Eyecare, Medical Device. WHAT: On the occasion of the 15 th SOI International Congress (24 th -27 st May, 2017) an area of 3,500 sq. will be available to the companies in the Fiera Milano City Congress Centre, whereas on the occasion of 97 th SOI National Congress (29 th November - 2 nd December, 2017) an area of 2,500 sq. will be provided in the beautiful setting of Rome Cavalieri Congress Centre. COST: The space has a cost of 700,00 Euros per sq. (fees are not included). These items can be imprinted with corporate logo and can be used to maximize the investments made on products and corporate activities. Congress bags WHAT: Bags are very important for congress participants. This is where they find information about the event. They contain the Congress Guide, the Live Surgery Programme and details about events/ products/companies. Sponsors logos are printed on the bags and will be visible everywhere for the whole congress. A simple way to make the brand visible. Sponsors may also include a factsheet. PRODUCTION: 5,000 pieces distributed over the two congresses, 2,200 at the International Congress and 2,800 at the National one. COST: 25,000 Euros including production and one-colour printing of the brand. DEADLINE: The Sponsor s logo to be printed should be sent by January 31 st, Badge holder strings WHAT: Access to conference rooms and exhibition area is only allowed to participants wearing their name badge, the most important corporate promotion tool. Sponsors may only print the corporate logo on badge holder strings. PRODUCTION: 5,000 pieces distributed over the two congresses, 2,200 at the International Congress and 2,800 at the National one. Sponsors may print the corporate logo on both tools. PRODUCTION: 5,000 pieces distributed over the two congresses, 2,200 at the International Congress and 2,800 at the National one. COST: 8,000 Euros, including production and one-colour printing of the brand. DEADLINE: The Sponsor s logo to be printed should be sent by January 31st, marketing WHAT: It is not just a simple advertising tool. In the occasion of the SOI events, we are able to spread any targeted communication, advertisement or editorial information by sending a mass to a mailing list of 5,400 ophthalmologists and 1,000 orthoptists. The goal of this tool is to increase visibility with one s own target and to strengthen company s investment. COST: 1,500 Euros per launch. For three launches the cost is 3,000 Euros. 17

21 2017 SOI Policies MARKETING AND ADVERTISEMENTS: HOW TO PARTICIPATE Only Congress exhibitors can have access to the above marketing and advertisement opportunities annual and technical. In order to participate, marketing and advertisement order forms, duly filled in, should be sent by December 31 st 2016 to: HOW TO BOOK A SPACE Sponsor companies have a preemption right on exhibition spaces which may be indicated on the ORDER FORM. Any booking will be confirmed by . All other exhibitors may send the STAND OPTION FORM within January 31 st The option has to be confirmed by within March 31 th 2017 for the 15 th International Congress and by the 30 st of June 2017 for the 97 th National Congress. CME REGULATION In compliance with the New Regulation implementing the objective criteria as in Accordo Stato-Regioni Nov on accreditation, it is possible to: Advertise medical products (drugs, instruments and medical devices) outside CME activity rooms and in adjacent areas. Promote sponsor logo in a discrete manner at the end of the scientific programme and/or brochures, at the beginning or at the end of educational events Sponsor congress bags and badge-holder laces only with the sponsor logo. Include in the congress bags all the product factsheets and brochures distributed in the areas adjacent to educational activity rooms. Be commercial sponsor of educational events regardless of organization, content and/or CME educational activity management rules. It is, therefore, the provider who guarantees there is no conflict of commercial interests, neither direct nor indirect, with the content of the CME accredited activities. 21
