5 MESSAGE FROM THE ORGANIZERS Dear Participants, It is our great pleasure on behalf of the scientific committee to welcome you to the joined 6th annual meeting of the International Society for Forensic Radiology and Imaging (ISFRI) and the 12th Anniversary Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Radiographers (IAFR), which will be held in Odense in Denmark from May 11th 13th Forensic imaging plays an increasingly important role in forensic science and constitutes a rapidly developing research area. The joint ISFRI and IAFR annual meeting presents an opportunity to hear about the latest developments in this exciting new field and meet with colleges from all over the world. The meeting will be held at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. It is hosted by the University Institute of Forensic Medicine in Odense in close collaboration with the Institutes of Forensic Medicine at the Universities of Copenhagen and Aarhus. The University of Southern Denmark is the third largest university in Denmark and has a close cooperation with Odense University Hospital. This cooperation will be further strengthened with the opening of a new super hospital in 2022 that will be linked to the university campus by a new-built faculty of medical science. Odense is a peaceful and beautiful city situated on the island of Funen in the centre of Denmark and only 1.5 hours train ride from Copenhagen Airport. The city is named after Odin, the Norse god of war, poetry and wisdom a perfect patron for a cultural and historical hotspot. Lectures, poster presentations and exhibits will be held at the main lecture halls next to the university main entrance. Breaks and meals will be held in the adjoining lounge and in the restaurant. As always the spirit of the meeting is one of collegiality and respect. The joined annual meeting of the ISFRI and IAFR offers the participants the chance to meet old and new friends, to strengthen bonds and to start collaborations. We look forward to se you in Denmark! Besides the sponsorship packages, your company can also sponsor single items as indicated below. Some sponsor options are limited and sponsorship is on a first come, first served basis. Sponsors will be clearly presented on the conference website, in the final program, and on screen during breaks and in between lectures. The organizers wish to encourage sponsors and exhibitors to confirm their participation in the 6th Congress of the International Society of Forensic Radiology and Imaging and the 12th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Forensic radiographers at an early stage. For commitments received before December 1st, 2016 a 10% reduction is applicable. 9 GENERAL INFORMATION Target audience About 250 participants are anticipated to attend the 6th Congress of the International Society of Forensic Radiology and Imaging and the 12th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Radiographers in Amsterdam. The target audience for this meeting includes radiologists, pathologists and scientists in forensic imaging. Meeting language The official meeting language will be English. Venue The 6th Congress of the International Society of Forensic Radiology and Imaging and the 12th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Radiographers will be held at: University of Southern Denmark (SDU) Odense, Campusvej 55, 5230 Odense M, Denmark. Participation as a sponsor will be invoiced by Congress Company. 1st payment: 25% of the total amount - immediately after signing the contract. 2nd payment: 75% of the total amount - by latest February Sponsorship fees should be paid by international bank transfer, in Euro s. Invoices will be sent within a month after signing the contract. Terms of payment After the signed contract is received by Congress Company, a confirmation and an invoice for a non-refundable payment of 25% of the total amount will be sent and is due for payment within three weeks after receipt. The balance of the full payment is due and payable before February After February no refunds will be made. Cancellation Any request to cancel sponsored items should be submitted to Congress Company in writing. The effective date of cancellation or reduction of sponsor items will be the date at which the Congress Organizer receives the written notice. In case of cancellation any amount already invoiced is not refundable. Liability The organizers accept no responsibility for any damage if the sponsored event is not performed due to any obstacle or hindrance outside the control of the organizers, which they could not reasonably have foreseen when signing this contract and which the organizers could not have avoided at a reasonable effort of cost. Such obstacles and hindrances include, but are not limited to, the outbreak of war, civil riots, governmental or other obstacles for the freedom of travel, union actions, natural disasters, fire, flooding and any other circumstances that fall within the meaning of the above. 6
