Audit: Will meet with internal auditor on May 9, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Dr. Godshall spoke about: Tour of Niagara CTEC on April 17, 2018 and Orleans CTEC on April 19, 2018 for component district board members and superintendents; the BOCES board facilities tour on April 20, 2018; new science standards; JMT retreat in Buffalo, New York in May; working to improve mental health services; BOCES is hosting a nursing job fair at Niagara CTEC on May 2, 2018; the April 13, 2018 chief school officer s meeting is being held at Niagara University and Niagara University s president, vice president, Niagara County Sheriff Voutour and Niagara County District Attorney are all attending; a steel building will be constructed at Niagara CTEC with most of the work being done by students and supervised by a contractor. Heather Longfritz, Substitute Teacher (Certified), shall continue to receive a salary of $ per full-day and benefits that she accrued, including health insurance contributions and sick leave accruals, from her previous Orleans Learning Center assignment as a long term substitute as long as she maintains her current assignment at Royalton-Hartland Learning Center, effective April 11, 2018 through June 30, 2018, unless employment is terminated sooner. After the conclusion of her current assignment, Ms. Longfritz shall remain appointed as a per diem substitute teacher at a rate of $95 per day. STUDENT DISCIPLINE APPEAL 12
13 Mr. Kropp said Wilson CSD had to re-negotiate their transportation contract due to the Ransomville Bus Company closing. Wilson CSD is looking for a special education director. Mr. Bond recently attended an art exhibit and spoke with a young man who went to Niagara Academy and said that it was the best thing that ever happened to him. Mr. Grabowski said Medina CSD is having an active shooter drill on April 20, Mr. Cancemi commended the Niagara Falls CSD students on their walk out last month. He added that the medical mobile unit has been successful and are still working on the details. Mrs. Swearingen would like information on Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) versus Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Mrs. Feltz announced that Barker CSD has hired Mr. Jacob Reimer as their new superintendent of schools. Moved by Mr. Klotzbach, seconded by Mr. Kropp, to enter into executive session at 8:20 p.m. to discuss the employment history of particular individuals. Carried unanimously.
