4 Page 4 Students Conduct Cultural Landscape Analysis By Ms. Shelby Steward Ms. Shelby Steward s and Ms. Elena DiIorio s AP Human Geography classes participated in a cultural landscape analysis of Third Ward. Students took field notes making observations of the landscape to explain how culture is infused in the area. They learned about gentrification, food deserts, and the history of the land and its importance to African Americans. Students interviewed residents and walked throughout the art installations within shotgun homes. The shotgun homes focused on social justice issues that affect the area. They will end up creating a visual history of the area and deliver it to Project Row House as they celebrate their 25th Anniversary. Wolf enews
