3 Installation of Officers and Directors Little Minion Cookies welcomed everyone to our Installation Banquet held this year at Villa Milano. Tina Milano-Cates, Paul Tavella and their staff served up a wonderful meal of either a Filet of Mignon or a seared Filet of Salmon along with a starter salad, roasted potatoes and green beans. Following our meal everyone was served a great Tiramisu dessert. The stage was set for a great evening starting out with a video put together by Dave Coffman that highlighted the entire Rotary year led by President Lisa Janszen. The video started with Lisa s installation last year and ended with our July 4 th and highlights from all of our community activites. The evening ended with President elect Dave Krebs presentation on the plans and changes for our club in his Rotary year. 4 Katrina Plourde received the first ever Rising Star award from President Lisa Janszen for being the most active new member within the first year. Congratulations to Katrina. Dave Read was the winner of this year s Rotarian of the Year award presented by President Lisa Janszen. Dave has been responsible for reviving the youth programs in our club as well as working on the Rotary Grill, July 4 th committee and just about anything else he has been asked to do. Congratulations to Dave for this annual coveted award.

5 Passing of the gavel from President Lisa Janszen to President Elect Dave Krebs. Dave starts his Rotary year on July 1 st. However, due to President Lisa s travel plans to Alaska, Dave and Justin Young will be in charge of the meeting for the next two weeks. President Lisa sports her new Rotary Past President s Jacket presented to her by PE, Dave Krebs.

9 From the Editor: Please watch the Rotogram for the official changeover of our leaders and the Rotary Year that will occur on July 1 st, Plan your week now as there is NO MEETING on July 5 th. President Elect Dave Krebs wants all of us to take a break after our big day on July 4 th. Also, there are some big changes coming in Dave s year and beyond that you will want to pay special attention. He plans for us to only have a regular meeting every other week at Villa Milano. The schedule will be a regular meeting on the 1 st and 3 rd weeks of the month. Details will be coming soon on how we will meet on the other meeting days of the month. A Message From Your Foundation Board: Fellow Rotarians; We are still trying to make the members of our Rotary Club aware of a Community Rewards program funded by The Kroger Company in which our Club's Foundation is a participant. Kroger provides $3.6M in reward funding to registered 501(c)(3) organizations. Rewards up to $900,000 are handed out quarterly to registered qualified organizations, like our Rotary Foundation, based on our members percentage of spending on purchases at Kroger stores as it relates to the total spending of all participating organizations. The Foundation Board would like to get everyone with a Kroger Plus Shopper's Card registered for this program. Participating will not cost you one cent nor will it effect your gas points. Your only cost is the time it takes you to go online and register your Kroger Plus Card with our Foundation's organization number You will also need to re-link your card each year starting on August 1st and running to the 31st, for which we will send out reminders. This last quarter only two of us participated, so if you think you are registered, look at the bottom of your Kroger receipt and it will tell you if you are participating. You have to renew it each year in August. It is so simple and easy that we should get 100% participation from our members and their extended families. If you are currently supporting another charity, consider alternating each year. The instructions for becoming a Kroger Community Rewards Supporter and providing support to our Foundation are attached for your use. If you need help getting a Kroger Plus Card or linking your card to the Kroger Community Rewards program, I would be happy to assist you.
