1 Pennsbury Baseball Parent/Player Season Kickoff Team Meeting Minutes March 15, 2018 Joe Pesci: Welcome to players and parents Introductions of coaches o Freshmen: Brandon Garrett, Head Coach; Nick Price, Assistant Coach o JV: Ed Marshall, Head Coach; DJ Endler, Assistant Coach, Brian Sinkiewicz, Assistant Coach/Underclassmen Coordinator o Varsity: Joe Pesci, Head Coach; Tom Pettit, Assistant Coach; Dave Howe, Assistant Coach; Kurt Kramp, Assistant Coach/Field Control; Matt Caston, Pitching Coach; Dennis Pesci, V/JV Assistant Coach Code of Conduct and Parent Communication Plan handed out to all and discussed Players should communicate directly with their coaches. If not receiving response, follow up with another coach. If further communication is needed, parent should reach out to coach via first. Sign up for Coach Joe Pesci s Remind Me App and/or on Twitter for up-to-date info from Coach Pesci Practice Attire: Baseball pants, black or orange Pennsbury shirt, baseball hat, cleats, sneakers, and equipment at every practice. Varsity team will practice 6 days a week during season. JV and Freshmen 5 days a week, weather and field conditions permitting. Batting cages severely damaged by snow storm. Possibly covered by PHS insurance. In the process of getting quotes. Jim Donovan: Presentation and explanation of Adrenaline Fundraising Discount Card Program. Cards $25 each, includes 2 mobile apps: APay cash back e-gift cards & national mobile discounts. Helps fund team-building activities, field maintenance and program fees. Votes tallied. End-of-Year Banquet set for June 3 Makefield Highlands Golf Course. Volunteers are needed to help with EOY Banquet. We have sponsorship forms available for banners to be hung at Varsity field. Anyone interested, please consider joining the Sponsorship/Advertising Committee. Rob Buchler: Budget Presentation. Please see Revenue and Expense Charts attached. Calendars Payment collected tonight. Freshmen $100 for 10 calendars; JV/Varsity $200 for 20. You can sell for $10 and keep money. We need the bottom part with the purchaser s info. Purchaser keeps the top calendar part. You can keep the calendars for yourself, but we still need the bottom slips with your info filled in. All calendar slip collections will take place on 4/27, 28th, and 30th.
