Authorize the General Services Agency to negotiate and the Purchasing Agent to sign a contract with The Gimper Group (Principal: Cris Bryant-McDonald; Location: Oakland) to provide outreach support, and contract compliance and monitoring services for the Berkeley Courthouse Renovation Project, 2120 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley, 3/23/04 3/30/05 ($49,462) CAO Recommends: Approve 10. Approve the following recommendations related to the Energy Efficiency Project: A. Approve energy services contract with PowerLight Corporation (Principal: Thomas I. Dinwoodie; Location: Berkeley) to design, manufacture, and install photovoltaic systems with a total capacity size of 1.1 megawatt at the County Administration Building, Wiley Manuel Courthouse North County Jail, Fremont Hall of Justice, Winton Avenue Building, Public Works Building, and the Office of Emergency Services ($3,827,581); B. Adopt a resolution that authorizes the Director to accept $2,760,000 in loan funding from the California Energy Commission C. Amend the fiscal year Capital Improvement Plan to add the 1.1 megawatt Solar II Power Project to Category I and transfer $1,067,581 from the designated energy fund to the Capital Projects budget D. Direct the Director to prepare documents and bond forms E.
