1 MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION SULLIVAN COUNTY BOARD OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES Wednesday, September 16, 2015 The meeting of the Board of Education of the Sullivan County Board of Cooperative Educational Services was held in the Administration Building, Conference Room #1, 6 Wierk Avenue, Liberty, NY 12754, the meeting was called to order by the District Clerk at 6:20 PM. Pledge to the Flag The Board President led the group in the Pledge to the Flag. Public Forum Each staff member present was asked to introduce themselves and state what they do for Sullivan BOCES. Janet Moglia shared that she is seeing a very positive difference in the Alternative Education Program. She attributes this to the BOCES Administration and Board Members to taking the staff concerns very seriously. She thanked the Board of Education. Ms. Moglia also addressed the Board regarding a conversation that took place with a Board Member Page 1 of 11

11 Action/Discussion Items Delegate to the NYSSBA Convention On a motion by Frank Conklin seconded by Carol Park it is hereby resolved that Linda Fisk, Board Member, be appointed as the Delegate to the NYSSBA Annual Convention. The motion Carried. 7-0 NYSSBA Proposed Bylaw Amendments/Resolutions The Board of Education will review the Proposed Bylaw Amendments/Resolutions booklet and will their comments to the District Clerk for summarizing and distribution to the Board. District Superintendent Report The District Superintendent updated the Board on SED issues. Dr. Khoury stated that the Commissioner will be visiting the JMT region in early December. Once the details are finalized Dr. Khoury will send the dates/times out to the Board. Board Member Comments Frank Conklin thanked Linda Fisk for agreeing to be the Delegate to the NYSSBA Convention.
