AGENDA ADDITIONS AND APPROVAL: Motion: to approve the Agenda of Sept 15, 2016 Board of Directors meeting by P. Vincent seconded by E.Tremblay, /carried.
2 PREVIOUS MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion: Approval of the minutes of our meeting of June 2, by E. Lafrance, Seconded by C. Graham, / carried. BUSINESS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES: Pembroke Ice Signage, on the new signage for the 2 Pembroke arenas. Still awaiting a quote for electronic signage outside the building. Will discuss at the next meeting. (tabled) Alternative answering call centre costs. (tabled, OACS investigating alternatives) Mark is to follow up on sign that were to be made /ordered. Mark was absent so will hear from Mark next meeting.( Tabled) My FM review of ads for Renfrew/ Arnprior (tabled) CORRESPONDENCE: a) s by Beth Ethier b) A letter has been sent to the OPP to request the use of their logo on the Crime Stopper s website. There has been no reply to date. LIASON REPORTS: None TIPS REPORT AND AWARDS: Police Coordinator: Beth Ethier AWARDS TIPS Tips for June were 20, July 13, Aug 36. RA Sept 16-1, outstanding warrants/ theft Motion: Approval of $300 for tip, by C. Graham, Seconded by P. Vincent, / carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Cash Calendar, There has been a problem with the colour so there is a delay in printing. OACS, Janice and Ken attended. Janice said that it was well organized and interesting and recommends it to everyone. She found a different fund raising program that uses a plaque to our donor who commit to a 5 year support of Crime Stoppers.
3 Legal Fees There is another case going to be a supreme court ruling involving Crime Stoppers. Legal fees will be going up. TREASURER S REPORT Don not present to give the treasurer s report. Publicity Committee C. Shires / K. Bertrand Motion to approve $3000 for the committee to replenish publicity items, moved by L. Fisher. / seconded by E. Tremblay / Carried. Internet Committee Katie Buchanan, Ken Bertrand, R. Simard There are great improvements in the new website being designed. The cost will be around $1700. This is a real bargain as Ken spoke with many people at the OACS conference who said a website design is usually 8 to 16 thousand dollars. We will be able to sell our calendars on the website using paypal. NEW BUSINESS: Bylaws, section of Rules and regulation will be updated when JP can have a look at them. The executive committee will continue to do Crime Stopper Business during summers and emergency situations. A new category to be established called Associate members. Letter to the Chief Motion to send a letter to the Chief Superintendent asking for an update on the next OPP coordinator to Crime Stoppers, by E. Lafrance, seconded by C. Graham / Carried.
