Chair's announcements The Chair made the following announcements: Interpretation status: corresponded to the standard linguistic profile of the committee: 21 languages were available except for Estonian, Latvian and Gaelic. ADOPTION OF DRAFT AGDA The draft agenda was adopted in the form shown in these minutes. 2. CHAIR S ANNOUNCEMTS 2.1 Main items discussed at last CCC meeting The main item of interest for VI at last CCC meeting was the exchange of views with VP Timmermans on the Commission Work Programme and the Commission approach on sustainability. VP Timmermans informed that, at the request of President Juncker, he was working, together with VP Katainen on a plan on how to fit the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in the 10 priorities of the Commission. Once this work will be finalised, the two VPs will present it in the VI Committee. 2.2 Invitation to VP Timmermans in the context of the structured dialogue Coordinators mandated the Chair to formally invite Vice-President Timmermans to the VI Committee. 2.3 Invitation to Commissioner Bulc Commissioner Bulc was invited to the April VI meeting in view of the ICAO High-Level meeting on GMBM in May, but can unfortunately not attend due to previous commitments. Coordinators mandated the Chair to insist on having an exchange of views at political level PV\ doc 9/16 PE v01

10 ahead of the GMBM meeting in May and instructed the secretariat to look into alternative dates in April when Commissioner Bulc could be present. They also considered that a joint VI/TRAN presentation by Commissioners Arias Canete and Bulc on the communication on decarbonisation of transport should not take precedence over a presentation by Commissioner Arias Canete of the legislative proposals on efforts sharing and LULUCF. Finally, coordinators mandated the Chair to raise with President Schulz the difficulty of finding available dates for some Commissioners to hold exchange of views in Committee meetings. 3. Studies with exchange of views in Committee: To request a study - to be presented in the VI Committee when finalised - on the "Progress in phasing out of fossil fuel subsidies". B.
