Call to Order The President called the meeting to order on Tuesday 20 October 2015 at 8:44 a.m. 2. The Reading and Disposition of the Minutes of the Last Meeting August 2015 Executive Committee Meeting. THAT the Minutes of August 2015 Executive Committee Meeting be approved as presented. 3. Reports 5.1 President A. Hrynyk: President Hrynyk provided a Report to the Executive Committee regarding work undertaken. Discussion ensued. THAT the Report of the President be accepted as information. 5.2 First Vice President R. Massini: First Vice President Massini provided a verbal report regarding the Southern Alberta MLA Road Trip. The President called a recess at 10:19 a.m. The President called the meeting to order at 10:39 a.m. THAT the Report of the First Vice President be accepted as information.

3 5.3 Second Vice President K. Cooper: The Second Vice President provided an update regarding the Southern Alberta MLA Road Trip. The Second Vice President shared her letter of resignation with the Executive Committee. THAT the Executive Committee accepts with regret, the resignation of Mrs. K. Cooper, Second Vice President, effective Friday 23 October THAT the Report of the Second Vice President be accepted as information. 5.4 Director K. Linder: Director Linder delivered the presentation of the DRAFT 2016 Budget. THAT the Report of the Director be accepted as information. 5.6 Executive Director M. Campbell: The Executive Director provided a Report to the Executive Committee. THAT the Association s DRAFT Work Plan be approved in principle and presented to the November 2015 Meeting of the Public School Boards Council for final approval. THAT the Strategic Communications: Key Messages as presented be approved and presented to the Public School Boards Council at their November 2015 meeting. THAT the amended Special Recognition Policy be approved in principle and shared with the Public School Boards Council at their November 2015 Meeting for final approval. THAT the August 2015 Monthly Financial Statements be approved. THAT the September 2015 Monthly Financial Statements be approved. THAT the Separate School District Establishment Handbook is approved for distribution. THAT the Report of the Executive Director be accepted as information.

In-Camera THAT the Executive Committee moves In Camera at 12:47 p.m. THAT the Executive Committee reverts to Public at 2:20 p.m. The President called a recess at 2:20 p.m. The President called the meeting back to order at 2:30 p.m. THAT the Executive Committee move In Camera at 2:59 p.m. THAT the Executive Committee revert to Public at 3:16 p.m. 7. Unfinished Business, and Business Arising From the Minutes 7.1 UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples 7.2 The Executive Summary: Truth & Reconciliation Final Report K. Cooper will search out potential speakers that will work with the Association. These two items will be brought back to the November 2015 Executive Committee Meeting for further information. 8. New Business 8.1 RBC Dominion, John Yamamoto, Investment Presentation 10:00 a.m. Tuesday 20 October 2015 Mr. Yamamoto shared investment information for the Executive Committee s review and consideration. Discussion ensued. THAT the Executive Director pursue the placement of the Association s investments with RBC Dominion Securities; and FURTHER that a report on the investments be brought back to the Executive Committee. 8.2 August 2015 PSBC Survey Results THAT the August 2015 PSBC evaluation be received as information.
