Our counseling department and administration will use the gift cards to help our Pacer families who are in financial need. If interested, we invite you to drop off the gift cards to Corey Fivecoat in the main office by MONDAY, DECEMBER 11th and we will provide you with a letter that you can use for tax purposes. Thank you in advance for considering this opportunity to help others AdvanED Accreditation for Lakeridge High School... Parent Help Needed AdvancED is the largest community of education professionals in the world. They are a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site reviews of a variety of educational institutions and systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential. In an effort to continue to bring your child the best education that prepares them for their postsecondary experience, Lakeridge will engage in a review with Advanced ED in March of As we prepare for this review we are asking staff, students and parents to complete surveys about their perceptions of the work being done here at Lakeridge. Please complete this short survey at your earliest convenience. We will be using this anonymous information to assess ourselves and provide feedback to our Advanced ED review team regarding our areas of strength and our areas of focused change. Thank you for helping us prepare for this external review. Last Call for Black Box Chair Donations The Pacer Parent Drama Club is fundraising for new chairs for the Black Box Theatre to support the Lakeridge Second Stage program which features student directed One Acts, spring Freshman/Sophomore play and more. 7 Oregon State Assessments and Opt Out Information Every year, students throughout Oregon take state assessments prescribed by the Oregon Department of Education. The purpose of these assessments is to show individual student growth over time and to provide student-specific data that teachers can use to ensure each and every child is on track and achieving learning goals. Results are also used to inform course placement and to provide focused feedback to students and parents. Oregon state law requires us to inform you that a form is available from the Oregon Department of Education and I have attached it to this . This will allow you to opt your child out of state assessments for the school year. Should you wish to opt out your child, please fill out the form and submit it to the main office at your child s school. If you have questions or want more information about state assessments, please contact your child s principal or teacher(s). Link Crew Fundraiser Link Crew Jamba Juice Fundraiser is happening December 11th-14th during both lunches! Purchase a card for $10 and you'll save $20 in Jamba Juice drinks. With the card you can get 8 medium smoothies for $3 and one included free small smoothie! Every card sold will benefit the Link Crew program in our efforts to plan events for freshmen and make their first year of high school memorable and stress free.
